I would recommend him to anyone, just stick to seeing him out of one office location (this is the case with most docs in NYC).

"I called to make an appointment right before Christmas. The secretary was extremely polite and squeezed me in that same day. She explained the doctor was going on vacation and she wanted me to be examined and relieved of my symptoms if possible so I could enjoy the holiday.
Dr Zimbalist was very nice, thourough and genuinely concerned. He got on the phone himself as I sat with him and called my usual diagnostic center to book a sonogram for me. I’ve never experienced that before!
My overall experience was great and I would highly recommend this doctor.

He correctly diagnosed me with severe diverticulitis and sent me to great surgeon. He also correctly diagnosed me for barretts esophagus and has been treating my condition and keeping it under control. Doc demeo is ultimate prosseional as are all his staff. I have severe anxiety about medical procedures and the idea of doing a colonoscopy was a nightmare for me...I have been delaying it for years and not happy that I did that but my fear was overwhelming. I explained this to Dr. Maher in our consultation meeting and he was more than supportive and understanding. His pleasant personality, manners, and professionalism make any patient more relaxed. On the day of the procedure, all his staff, and nurses were so nice and helpful. I can't believe I am over with it.
