"Dr. Kastenbaum has done both of my knees (total knee replacements) and he is incredible. I cannot say enough good things about him. He is thorough, awesome bedside manner and listens. He is a no nonsense doctor, but he will get you back in great shape. I highly recommend him. Plus my scars are pretty. I have no shame in wearing dresses

"Terrible doctor, physicians assistant was rude and impatient. None of them cared to hear me tell them the story of how I actually injured my hip. The office was horrible and the front desk lady was extremely condescending, asking me to wait until I am called and stated that I could not read the sign. I've never been so insulted at a doctor's office in my life. I walked right out and will never come back. I've had Stem cell treatment in the past that worked really well and the doctor as well as his physicians assistant snickered at the idea of this treatment. The were very unprofessional. I am going to opt out for more stem cell treatment and pay for it out of pocket than accept this horrible treatment. Lot's of racial bias and micro-aggressions as well. Not a great place for people of color. If he felt that I needed surgery, he would probably ruin my hip anyway. Run for the hills.

During my first visit, I received an X-ray and Dr. Shur diagnosed my injury immediately. I had a one inch tear in my rotator cuff. He said he can fix it and avoid an entire shoulder replacement. This was a highly complicated surgery. I am a middle aged woman with a rather complicated medical history. I was also very nervous regarding having surgery.
Dr. Shur and Victor Svyatkovsky had the highest bedside manners to calm my nerves, make me comfortable, and monitor the entire surgical process. The supporting staff, surgical coordinators and front desk were very attentive, thorough and patient. They were diligent in all required paperwork in regard to my workers compensation and physical therapy. I would highly recommend Dr. Shur as a surgeon. He is an excellent surgeon.
