Google review for Dr. Louis Vella

I've been working with Dr. Vella for just over 1 year now, and I'm happy to say that his work (combined with healthy habits on my end, and a driving desire to better fix things like my posture, sleep, and reduce stress levels), has helped to fix my spine, jaw, and lower back. When I had BPV (Vertigo), he was able to cure it -- something a very expensive neurologist told me was "impossible."
I was always skeptical of chiropractors; as someone extremely science-based for healthy and wellness, I know that there can be a lot of pseudoscience involved, and I don't like the idea of cracks/pops alleviating symptoms rather than treating the cause of an issue. NSA chiropractors work primarily with light touch and only use cracks/pops as necessary -- in 1 year of appointments, I have only had 3 cracks/pops done to me total, all of which either provided immediate relief of an issue, or permanent relief of an issue (more on that shortly). Although it took 4 - 5 visits for me to begin to see results from the NSA work, once I felt the difference, I knew there was no going back for me -- I had to continue because the feeling was that good.
Specifically for me, my jaw was too forward due to an issue with my neck vertebrae being too straight; this made the weight of my head feel doubled! I had been dealing with this for nearly 10 years and didn't know it wasn't normal. It was effecting my ability to sing, speak, and even breathe. Although it took a few months to get to the point that we could tackle my jaw issues, as there were other spinal issues to deal with first that were more important, I am happy to say that Dr. Vella has fixed the issue -- the day he was able to focus on my jaw (and provided my first pop/crack), my vocal coach later that day remarked that it was the best singing I've had in a lesson. Months later, my posture has only continued to improve, and I even sleep better/no longer wake with neck pain.
There are times you may have to wait for your appointment in the lobby; it's a doctor's office! Dr. Vella takes as much time with each patient as they need, and is extremely personalized/hands-on during sessions. He is extremely knowledgeable, and more than happy to share what he 's doing while he's doing it -- ask questions while you're on the table and you'll have a great dialogue. We've been able to discuss areas of health I've researched that he isn't working with me on and has provided great insight. He's also helped me with personal/emotional issues, and has great patience with people seeing him.
If you're on the fence, take the plunge for a month and see if it works for you. Be open to changing habits to improve the process (studies show NSA chiropractic work can double the effect of healthy habits), learn to relax while you're on the table and get out of your head, and see some real results.
