Dr. Walter Besser

DR. Besser did hip replacement on both my legs in 2014 and 2017. He is one of the top Orthopedic Surgeons in the USA. He is very professional and has a great bed side manner.

I had injured my wrist in June. Saw orthopedic surgeon snd he said I had small tear. Not to worry low and behold 6 weeks later my wrist had a big bump. Saw other surgeon and was told he does not handle this type of injury. He recommended Dr. BESSER. Went to see him waited only 40 minutes pass my appointment time. But it was worth the wait. Dr. Bester explained to me step By step what had happened he said I Had growned a cyst from my tear. He drained it and I feel good. His explanation Of my injury is what needed and no other dr. gave me that.

Not sure what to state other than I now have to wait to see if my MRI on my knee from a fall, indicates a tear or whatever. My next appointment is 4 weeks away which in my opinion is too long a wait since I still can't adequately bend my knee; I do not like this process where the receptionist does not speak adequate English and always appears to overly swamped with work; I have to seriously wonder what the doctors in this office are doing; the waiting area is jammed with people waiting to see a doctor; this is a sad state of affairs with medical insurance companies and leaves me to wonder.

By far the worst wait I have ever experienced at a doctors office. Over 2 hours of waiting past my appointment time. On top of that when I saw the doctor he then proceeded to tell me to see my old orthopedist in my home town because Dr. Besser didn't know what to do. INSANE! I've never had a doctor refer me to a previous doctor because he didn't know what to do. Waste of time, I will NOT be going back

Had to schedule an appointment over a month out. Even then, had to wait there 2 hours after my scheduled appointment. Waiting area had every other seat blocked off for social distancing, but it seemed like they didn't really reduce the number of people who were in there (also evidenced by the 2hr wait). They just left half the people standing. Wrote this out of frustration while still waiting... Will update again with final wait time and if I feel like the doc is worth the wait. ============================================== Ok, definitely NOT WORTH THE WAIT. It took almost 3hrs to see him and he sent me off in about 5 mins to get an MRI. When I had the MRI done a few days later and called to schedule a follow up, they couldn't see me for a month! I waited the month out, in pain, came back in time for my appointment, but had to wait another 3hrs. Then, when I finally got back in, it wasn't even Dr. Besser that saw me. Some other guy was there instead and he read to me what I had already read in the MRI report and sent me off in 5mins again with prescription for physical therapy. I see he has a lot of other good reviews, so maybe he's better with patients he knows he's going to operate on? All I know for sure is, if you're planning on seeing him, make sure you have 3hrs to spare and that your phone is well charged. I will definitely not be going back here....
