I’ve been suffering with sciatica on and off for two years, but this year, the pain has impacted everything in my life. I’ve been miserable and depressed for quite some time, just have not felt like myself. I’ve tried everything to get rid of this pain. I’ve seen a physical therapist, I’ve tried a chiropractor (who I believe made it worst), and did the epidural shots. My pain management doctor referred me to Dr. Varma, she ensured me that he would take great care of me…and that he did. Met him for a visit and instantly he knew what was wrong, laid out my options for me to choose from, and steered me in the right direction. Now here I am, a little over a week post-op and I feel great. I haven’t slept this good in months. I can actually move around without this nagging pain shooting down my leg. I can’t thank this man enough and I am greatly appreciative for the work that he and his team has given me!

Dr. Varma is a thorough and caring practitioner. He explained my options for surgery and which one he recommended and why he felt it was the best.

Dr. Vikas Varma is in my opinion, hands down, the best orthopedic spine surgeon in the NYC area. His expertise, thoroughness, patience and his willingness to go the extra mile for his patients, brings me to this conclusion. His "bed side manner," is impeccable, his end time goal is to make sure you feel your best. Dr. Varma looks for every solution to ease your pain. He has an amazing ability to make you smile even though you come to his office visit, suffering with back issues. I have recommended Dr. Varma to anyone who tells me they have back pains. He is just that good. Dr. Varma has been my back doctor for over 15+ years and I consider myself very lucky to be among one of his long time patients.

Dr. Varma was pleasant and professional. He even brought another doctor in to the exam room for a second opinion. I would definitely recommend him to others.
