I have been a patient of Dr. Zweig's for many years. She is very thorough, kind and straight forward. She also understands that medicine and especially endocrine issues are not always a one size fits all approach. She listens to a patient's concerns and makes you feel like you're not alone in your journey. She worked with me to find the right dose of medicine that would treat my condition with minimal side effects. My only complaint is it can be hard to get an appointment but that's very common with doctors in NYC from my experience.

okay, i feel bad to see that dr zweig has such terrible reviews, but now i have to say something too. (funnily enough, the last time i went, she seemed to be trying extra hard to achieve "good bedside manner"... maybe she'd read these.) she's not a terrible doctor at all, and is even pretty nice, but as an endocrinologist, you expect that she'd be able to address some complicated issues. (as just about all endocrine issues are.) instead, whenever i see her and go through the symptoms i'm experiencing, she basically tells me to see another kind of doctor - a primary care doctor, a dermatologist, a nutritionist, etc. while it's great when a doctor can admit they don't have all the answers, most people with endocrine issues have suffered through YEARS of these sorts of doctors not being able to help them at all. that's why we go see endocrinologists. none of these other sorts of doctors were able to address any of my problems, and dr, zweig doesn't seem to get that. i put up with her for a while because, again, she's not the worst endocrinologist i've ever seen. that said, i'm finally going to find someone new because i'm just not getting the help i need here.
