Dr. Sheskier is a rare commodity in the health profession- a practitioner who takes the time to thoroughly analyze their patient's condition and who apply a voluminous knowledge of the healing arts to arrive at an accurate diagnosis and a correct solution to their patient's ailment. After wasting my time and money with four foot surgeons associated with the Hospital for Special Surgery who dismissed my condition as neuropathy and who sent me home with no treatment solution, I learned of Dr. Sheskier. He correctly diagnosed that scar tissue was causing the pain in my foot. He applied a number of non-surgical solutions and now I am pain free.

I have seen Dr Steven Sheskier and have had 3 successful surgeries for my ankle, foot and toes. He is very knowledgeable and has excellent bedside manner along with a good sense of humor. He explained the entire process each time and let me know what to expect. He tried several modalities (PRP injection and PT) in an effort to avoid surgery which really made me feel comfortable with him. The surgeries ended with the best possible outcome for which I was very pleased and have recommended him to other physicians, co-workers and friends (I'm a Registered Nurse). I highly recommend him as I believe he is one of "The Authorities" in his field

Dr. Sheskier is an orthopedic specialist. I had left ankle pilon fracture orif, basically means my ankle was crushed. I fell on concrete whilst holding articles in both hands. It was as bad as it could get. Couldn’t stand or walk. Transferred from 2 other hospitals. Those doctors couldn’t help me. Finally transferred to NYU and Dr. Sheskier. I will never forget that he came in and performed my surgery on a Saturday because he didn’t want me to wait until Monday. My surgery went very well. Dr. Sheskier knew every thing there was to know regarding healing my injury. I’m truly grateful to him and his lovely staff. Dr. Sheskier takes care of the medical and Dania and Maggie takes care of everything else; doctors notes, insurance forms, compensation all sorts of claims. They are so competent and knowledgeable about medical injury paperwork. I knew nothing. This was my first and only traumatic injury. The appointments are scheduled correctly so that you won’t be waiting for hours, like some doctors do. Dr. Nick is awesome too. So caring and helpful. I couldn’t write my review without mentioning him. I miss him and will be glad when he’s back in the office. I come from Long Island. I pass countless orthopedic practices to get to Dr. Sheskier’s office because they are 5 star excellent. Highly recommended.

Dr Sheskier helped my mother to walk again after other doctors gave up. He is very compassionate and has a good bedside manner. Our family highly recommends him for ankle repair surgery. He is an A+ surgeon.

Stay far away!!!. Sheskier is a horrible doctor. He ruined my ankle after what was suppose to be a simple procedure. He missed my alignment issue. I was able to walk very well before he operated on me. After the operation I was never the same. I never gained my range of motion and developed severe arthritis. He would get irritated when I asked questions and was simply rude overall. Go to the Hospital for Special Surgery for amazing orthopedic surgeons
