Amazing practitioner. While misdiagnosed by 4 other well-experienced orthopedists, Dr. Ravich got to the meat and potatoes of my hip problem. He performed an arthroscopic hip replacement at NYU Orthopedic Hospital. A very complex diagnosis and procedure, I was out in 2 days, walking with a walker and climbing stairs. 4 weeks post-op, rehab continues and so does my progress. This was no easy surgery by any means. I owe Dr. Ravich my life. As a nurse for 42 years, I HATE DOCTORS. They kill and maim. I have seen too much. Dr. Ravich is a total opposite. He gets right to the crux of the matter, comes up with a plan and you adhere. End of story - beginning of success.

First off there's an extremely long wait to see him (2+ hours). I was called in by the nurse after 1 hour, waited inside for another 30 mins to see him. He came in looked at me for 2 mins and then left for an additional 45 mins for a phone call. When he comes in he does not say hi nor does he make eye contact like a normal decent human being. And like every review below has said, he's extremely condescending. I've never posted a review publicly before, but this experience definitely made me go out of my way. By far this was the worst doctors experience I've ever had. Don't waste your time with him.

Dr Ravich is excellent doctor but super slow and is there only in the office 2 days a week. When you get an apt time u dont get scene till 2 to 3 hours later. It's a disgrace.

Very dissatisfied. Long wait. Second opinion showed damage Dr. Ravich dismissed. Also, be sure to keep your receipt! I unfortunately paid my copay in cash and lost my receipt. They continued to bill me and then sent me to collections for $20!!
