Dr. Shawn Anthony and his staff are welcoming, informative and kind. They make you feel as if you are their only patient. And most importantly, they are incredibly competent, brilliant in their knowledge and skill. My meniscus procedure was done at the Surgery Center at 619 W. 54th St. The staff, nurses, anesthesiologist, etc. all were amazing. They all took much time explaining exactly what was to be done to my knee, how I would feel and what to expect. I just had my first follow-up with Dr. Anthony. It was a very good visit. So grateful to have this doctor and his staff taking care of me!

Very professional and organized office. I did not have to wait. I was called in at the exact time of my appointment. Everyone there was kind and courteous. Do not let Dr. Anthony's youthful look fool you. He is an AMAZING doctor. He knows his stuff. He is very knowledgeable, smart, competent, kind, compassionate and respectful all at the same time. You leave his office feeling very well cared for. I am so thankful that he is my doctor and a great one at that.

Dr. Anthony thoroughly examined my knee and explained my injury in detail. He reviewed my x-rays with me, explaining the scans in detail so I knew what I was looking at. He was very knowledgeable about the injury I sustained and recommended the types of physical exercise I should be doing in addition to PT. He has a friendly and approachable demeanor. I would recommend Dr. Anthony to anyone experiencing knee issues from running.

I had completely severed my ACL and partially tore my meniscus. Dr Shawn Anthony discussed options I could take regarding my injuries. He told me on our first visit, it’s possible to get back to a semi normal lifestyle without surgery. He suggested physical therapy and if that didn’t help, we could always discuss having surgery. I’m very lucky to have Dr Shawn Anthony as my orthopedic specialist. The physical therapy has helped. And, even though I’ll never be back to the way I was before the injury, I was able to return to work. I can’t thank Dr Shawn Anthony enough. He and his team are not only very professional, they also explained my injuries and options to getting better in a easy to understand way. Going through such a major injury could have been more stressful. Luckily, with the guidance of Dr Shawn Anthony, he and his team made things very stress free. I highly recommend Dr Shawn Anthony if you’re looking for a orthopedic doctor.

Overall, my experience has been great. Dr. Anthony himself is pleasant and reassuring while diagnosing my shoulder and offering explanations. Appointments have been easy to make in the Mt. Sinai system and can be scheduled just a week ahead of time. Five stars for him. My only slight complaint is that when I called originally, I specifically asked what the co-pay would be. The first orthopedic office I called had taken my insurance info and called me back to let me know me it would be $400 with my plan so I'd continued to call around. The person I spoke with at Mt. Sinai said it would be less. Then I got a bill for $400. Not so bad economically, as that's what I'd have paid anyway. But I feel like I punished the first office for their integrity/ competence.
