Dr. Si is the most responsible physician I have seen so far. I had my baby delivered by Dr. Si last year during COVID. I was having a lot of pain and went to the hospital at night, my baby's heart rate wasn't so good. Thank God, Dr. Si showed up soon after. I was so anxious and worried, Dr. Si was so reassuring and even pushed the stretcher herself to get me to the OR because hospital staffs were too busy that night. It's because of her that everything went smoothly. I don't know about other people's review about Dr. Si, but the one written by Aiqing chen is definitely not true. Dr. Si would never abandon any patients whether they are in active labor or not. She is always caring and closely follow up with her patients. please do the right thing and don't write rumors about my favorite OB/GYN doctor in the neighborhood.

Feeling sad seeing so many negative reviews. If this’s that bad, the office won’t be so busy all the time. My experience wasn’t perfect cuz its always packed, but Dr Si is worth everything. Every time during my prenatal care checkup, we had a constructive conversation. Her suggestions are always helpful. That’s not it. What amazed me was her expertise and experience. I had a few friends delivered by Dr Si. We all had speedy delivery, like pushed the baby less than 30 minutes. (Mine was even faster. The baby was almost out in 15 minutes, but Dr Si let me slow down. It’s not good to be too fast either.) It seemed like she just knew when the baby’s ready. When I heard many other friends pushed for about 2 hours. I sweared I wouldn’t try other ob… 2nd reason she made me feel relieved is that she didn’t like to cut (hope you know what I mean). Instead she would let you deliver the baby naturally if she believe you could. I heard only experienced doctor would do so cuz it’s harder to suture the wound. One more huge reason is that she’s 24 hour on call!!! I just feel very secure knowing this. I simply could not imagine having other unknown doctor handle my delivery. Last reason was a plus. When the other doctors or maybe nurses measured my baby on the day of delivery, they said it’s about 7.6 - 7.8 lb, but Dr Si measured 8.1 lb, which was exactly how heavy my girl was. I’m not an expert. It’s only my own experience.

This doctor was highly recommended to me, I made a appointment three weeks after finding out I was pregnant and when I finally arrived at my appointment I was not treated well. The receptionists were very unfriendly and when I finally saw the nurse practitioner she told me the doctor would most likely not take me. She said she would call me the next day to let me know if she was taking me or not, they ended up not calling me and I had to called them only to find out they could not attend me. I wasted three weeks on this doc appointment just to be turned away. The nurse practitioner doubted I was pregnant even though I showed her my blood work and asked me if I was keeping my baby! The service was terrible, I noticed how differently I was treated from the patients who were there.

1. I did annual check in early October 2021 and the doctor said she could touch something on my left side of abdomen. She sent me to do ultrasound for my pelvis. I asked if she can do it like other OB/GYN clinic- putting gel on my tummy and see the image of my ovaries. She refused and insisted to let me make appointment with other lab. Then I did ultrasound at other lab office, and paid $150 copay. After one week, the staff of Dr. Si's office called me and told me go back to office to get the test result. I asked if I can speak to the doctor over the phone. They refused and scheduled my appointment on a Sunday. When I visited the doctor's office on that Sunday. The receptionist told me that she couldn't check my insurance on weekend. I could either reschedule or I pay $200 upfront as deposit. (I have commercial insurance which is provided by my company. Within same month, I just don't understand why they need to verify my insurance when I just need to check my test result). I asked the receptionist if I can just get a copy of my test result. She refused and stated that's the clinic's protocol. So I had to reschedule and wasted the time of my Sunday for no result. I went to the lab where I did my ultrasound and paid $200. I asked if I could get a copy of my result. The lab refused. The staff stated that they could only sent the result to my OB/GYN doctor or my primary doctor, so that I can learn about my test result. According to HIPPA and New York State Law, patient has the right to access to their medical records/lab results. I had appointment with this OB/GYN clinic today. And I called them around 11 AM during normal weekday business hour, because I would like to make sure they check my insurance before I visit the doctor. The staff spoke to me over the phone, "oh you have commercial insurance, now you are at work, so your insurance is effective, yes, you can visit doctor to get result today at 5 PM, and copay will be $20." ( I am wondering if my insurance end yesterday, does it mean that I would never allow to know my test result.) I arrived at the clinic around 4:45PM today, and I heard the receptionist called my insurance to check eligibility. What if I arrive the clinic at 5 PM, and they couldn't verify my insurance and make me reschedule again? no idea. Finally, I got to learn my test result after I paid $20. 2. In year of 2020. that was my first time to visit this doctor's office. My appointment was at noon time. I arrived the clinic on time and receptionist told me that doctor had to deliver some babies. We don't know when she would come back. So I waited at the clinic for 5 hours. (As receptionists, shouldn't they make few phone calls to patients and see if they are willing to reschedule due to the sudden changes?) When it was my turn to do annual check with doctor. When doctor was helping me to do pap smear test, she had casual conversations with her assistant regarding doing groceries shopping and ordering food. I think that's inappropriate. 3. I am not sure if anyone would spend time to read my review. I just describe about what I experienced. I would definitely never go back. This doctor's office is at convenience location and many patients would still choose this OB/GYN doctor. Hopefully they can improve and respect every patient.

Extremely long wait, their ultrasound scan is downstairs and you have to wait yet again to get this done. Most obgyn doctors do all exams at the same time. Had an appt and still waited for more than 3 hours. For the reviewer that stated he was the doctors son, doctors shouldn't jam pack their appointments in a day to try to get as many insurance claims as they can. This is a horrible place and never ever coming back.
