Really shocked to see all the 1-star bad reviews. Dr. Faroqui has been very friendly, patient, thorough, and honest with me. I've never had bad experiences with the receptionists. I will say the office does seem outdated, especially compared to some of the boutique spa-like offices around the city, but THE DOCTOR is more important to me than pretty pink walls and a latte while I wait. Also just because it's not fancy/pretty does not mean it's not clean. I've never seen anything unprofessional or unsanitary during my visits. Reviews complaining about the sign above the toilet asking not to flush tissues--this is New York City, there are a lot of old buildings with plumbing issues. Dr. Faroqui has a great bedside manner, she makes me laugh and feel comfortable and heard. I feel like she genuinely cares that I'm getting the care I need and deserve and I'll take that over a bougie start-up office space any day.

This was an absolutely AWFUL experience which was so surprising considering how recommended she came. The exam itself was fine (the rooms are even warm) but then she proceeded to start SHAMING and DEMEANING me for the medication I've been on and prescribed by many doctors before her along with my weight. Not one doctor in my life has ever even begun to mention my weight. I've always been very healthy and maintained the same general weight for 15 years. I've heard about this happening but never experienced it until today. I do not recommend her at all. wouldn't send my worst enemy here. I got so uncomfortable with her that I asked to leave the exam room and she wouldn't. I had to ask her four separate times. I've never had a dr drive me to tears and physically shaking before. DO NOT GO HERE, especially if you aren’t stick thin.

WARNING! DO NOT GO HERE! This place is disgusting. I never ever write reviews, and I am writing this to warn others. This office is incompetent, they have got my prescription wrong THREE times. They are closed over the weekend so they can't correct this mistake and therefore I am UNABLE TO TAKE MEDICATION because of them. This is insane.

I’ve never written a review before but I know this will help other women in similar positions as me. I was struggling with the worst periods and most painful cramps even when I wasn’t on my period for about a year. From my own research I suspected it was endometriosis but I needed a doctor to be sure of that. After going to 6-7 doctors, I went to Dr.Faroqui. I was already at my breaking point because no doctor would listen to me. I arrived for my appointment early and waited far over an hour to be seen when there wasn’t anyone else waiting. I broke down to her everything I’ve been feeling and started crying because this was a very long emotionally draining period of time in my life. She took 2 fingers in, just barely putting them in and said “you don’t have endometriosis” and kept insisting I don’t. Fast forward months later, I needed surgery because I couldn’t go to work or let alone leave my house. Turns out I had multiple Endo lesions, cysts, a hernia you name it. Please save your time and well being and don’t go here. After have my laparoscopy, even though I was told I have endo, it was so relieving knowing these doctors were wrong and I wasn’t crazy!

While she is nice, I would absolutely not recommend her to others for any SERIOUS medical issue. TL;DR She is extremely busy and does not take the time to follow up nor show that she cares for her patients, and she could have saved me 2 trips to the ER had she assessed my situation sooner and correctly. More details: 1. Unresponsive - she's the only doctor in the office, so she is very busy and doesn't take the time to explain what's going on and return phone calls. She called me in the morning with my blood test results, and I asked the receptionist to have her call me again ASAP. I didn't receive a call back that day, and had to follow up the next morning only to hear that she was still busy with patients. 2. Lack of follow up care/concern - recommended that I go to the ER the same day of my 3rd appointment with her. I didn't receive a follow-up call that day from her. Unfortunately, I had to return to the ER again the next day and had emergency surgery. The doctor who performed the procedure said he would notify her ASAP, and I never heard a word from her. 3. Small and outdated office - tiny waiting area and outdated technology (such as the sonogram machine) 4. Unorganized - asked me to come in for an ultrasound in a follow-up appointment, only to get there and hear that my insurance doesn't cover in-office sonograms at her office. Could have saved myself the visit (and copay!) if she sent me to a radiologist and lab the first time I saw her. All in all, she is nice but I had an extremely traumatic experience and my interactions and visits with her did not relieve any of the stress.
