Very great experience with Dr. Woo! The man has VERY good bedside manner, is a real mensch, and is a super focused diagnostician. I've been having issues with my voice for a number of weeks now and was referred to Dr. Woo by my voice teacher. He's nice and easy to talk to and told me exactly what was wrong with my voice and what can be done to fix it. The staff is very friendly as well. I came very early for my appointment and I was allowed in ahead of time. Even if you're paying out of pocket, believe me...it is worth every penny! It's not for nothing that voice teachers have been sending their students to him for many years. All my friends, my higher-ups at work, and my friends from shul only have good things to say about him. Precise, professional, and positive. I highly, HIGHLY recommend him to all.

Dr Woo saved my voice. I had surgery in 2021 for dysplasia. His kind and calm personality is so reassuring. I highly recommend anyone dealing with vocal cord issues to speak with Dr Woo!

I had a Pierson semi laryngectomy under his care ten years ago . I still marvel at his patience with me during the traumatic post operative stay in the hospital , busy with rounds he answered all of my scribbled questions regardless of his time needs and fully understands the psychological ramifications and effects of such a life altering treatment . I could not imagine better bedside manner than he has . I would truly say he is model example of a doctor practitioner. And I haven’t even mentioned his surgical skills which are probably top one percent in his field. I’m alive ten years later running 35-40 miles a week and working seventy plus hours. You do the math 🙏👍

I have been Dr. Woo's patient for several years. He's an internationally renowned expert in throat and especially voice related issues, and also a professor at Mount Sinai Medicine School. I have had a very long history of chronical issues in my throat, but have developed some new conditions in the throat and voice a few years ago. I was not aware at the time, but it turned out to be a rare disease and quite serious. I had seen a few other doctors over the prior year, and went through a few treatments, but the situation was not improved. I was finally referred to Dr. Woo by the last ENT doctor I had seen for a few months by then. On my first visit, Dr. Woo examined my throat and immediately provided a clear diagnosis, which was later confirmed by pathology. Due to the chronicle nature of my issues, I've went through multiple surgeries performed by Dr. Woo over the past few years, and all achieved good results. Dr. Woo is very experienced in voice related issues. You can feel that he's seen a lot of patients and cases, and knows well many different situations. He's candid and does not overstate/understate things. He will tell you certain things with high confidence, and others that there's no definitive conclusion among medical professionals. Even in the latter case, he's not shy clearly giving out his own opinion and suggestion. I can understand if some people feel he's not very warm to patients, due to his way of speaking in a very objective fashion without much euphemism, but his objectiveness only gives me more confidence and respect to him. He cares greatly about the outcomes for patients, and would evaluate the pros and cons of various treatment options, taking into account the specific situation of the specific patient. Due to the complexity in my situation, I have had many such conversations with Dr. Woo over the years, and can speak to that. I value a doctor's knowledge, expertise, and caring for patients more than any other aspects of his office, and I will give definitive 5 stars on those aspects for Dr. Woo. On the other more minor aspects, my general experience for office visits have been pleasant, and usually not a long wait. It's often punctual, and mostly within 15 min of my appointment. And sometimes when I was late or much earlier, I will still be accommodated in a timely manner. The office staffs were also nice in general. I only had one not so pleasant experience when I asked for some copies of my medical records (not a small number of reports), which the responsible staff showed some impatience and said it was troublesome, but the reports were sent to me promptly afterwards. And when I followed up with some further requests, they were also sent promptly.

Horrendous experience, he came highly recommended by my cardiologist so I though I was in good hands. He has zero bedside manner, and I found him completely incompetent. On first visit he told me I had Cancer without doing any testing. I was traumatized for months afterwards, not to mention that day, week and month following. It took me over a year to get past the trauma of my meeting with Dr. Peak Woo. Thankfully he was wrong. He never called to apologize or explain. He sent me to his associate in the same location, for my follow up visit, who happened to be excellent. She said that perhaps I was not accurately diagnosed. Just a really terrible medical experience. His front desk is so anxious to get your payment it takes priority over everything else. I thought that with all his credentials he would be a good choice. I say look elsewhere.
