I have been a patient of Dr Lombardi for a year now. And I have decided to drop his office as my PcP. It's always a hassle trying to get referrals for my eye doctor. Secretaries there give me an attitude over the phone. For some reason my boyfriend NEVER has problems getting referrals the Day of his appointment. I called them to get a referral for a future appointment and they said I had to go to their office first to be seen. And I had wait 2 weeks to be seen. When I was there they told me I can't get the referral unless I make the appointment for my eye doctor first! It was after 5pm, so I had to wait for another day. Then when I did I called the office and they told me they needed 48hours ahead, which No one informed. Never. Not even when I was there. They said they'd help but 2 hours after I called (twice) still not referral. 1 hr late in my appointment still not referral. I called again and no one answered. Unfortunately my insurance requires it. Will my referral come? Who knows. I will talk to my insurance about that as well. Other issue I had was the Doc would not take seriously the things I've told him like last year I said I think my disc might be herniated he said no because I'm young and could move. Even after I told him my range of movement was not the same and I was in pain. I saw a specialist which turned out I did have a herniated disc. Then I got treated for months w physical therapy. I was focused on that so I didn't go back to his office until now. And his secretaries giving me attitude because I've not been there in a while is rude because they obviously don't know why.
