Dr Castillo is the best podiatrist I have encountered. I have been having foot problems for almost 9 years, I have been to 5 different podiatrist and none of them diagnose my problem correctly. Dr. Castillo took his time to explain to me what was really going on with my foot. He is honest, patient and caring. He takes his time and he is very thorough. Another great quality of this office is that everyone there is really nice, the staff is very personable and friendly, they treat you like family. I highly recommend anyone who has foot problems to go there. I live in Long Island and I traveled to the Bronx just to see him because he is definitely the best doctor I have ever encountered. Thank you Dr. Castillo and all his staff for the great services you provide! I am a very grateful patient.

Dr. Castillo and staff are very pleasant and professional. All sterile techniques are used to the fullest. This office makes their patients feel important and everyone will assist when needed. The office is very clean, and patients are well protected. I have been going to this office for years, and there is nothing negative I have to say regarding my care or the Doctor and staff who treats me. I would recommend this office 100%.

In tribute to Bronx Foot Care. I never experienced in a short period of time the care and support that Mr. Castillo and his team provided to me. They made sure that I had the best possible understanding of my injury and that they had my best interest. Prior to my surgery Michelle made sure that I had all the necessary medical supplies. The day of my surgery, words could never express how professional and supportive they were to me during my procedure and after the procedure I received daily calls asking about my wellbeing. I would like to thank Foot Care for their support in the Bronx.

I was scheduled for some ingrown toenail issues and met with Doctor Castillo and his assistant. They were very polite and friendly and provided me with more than sufficient information regarding pre and post surgical procedures. Both Dr. Castillo and his assistant made me very comfortable through jokes and conversation before, during, and after the operation. I knew I was in great hands and was reassured as I watch them operate. I witness a master performing their craft and was ecstatic about how smooth and swift the operation went. I would recommend and vouch to anyone reading to come here for your foot care. I’d give more than 5 stars if I could.

I had an extremely disappointing and frustrating experience at BRONX FOOT CARE today when I took my father for his appointment. From the very beginning, it was clear that the staff lacked professionalism and consideration for their patients. To start with, the office location was difficult to access due to road closures by Con Edison. I had to struggle to wheel my father to the office, which was an unnecessary inconvenience. Upon arrival, I was asked to fill out paperwork, which I promptly completed and handed in. We were then directed to a small waiting area, where we patiently waited for our turn. After some time, we were finally called, and I assumed it was our turn to be seen by the doctor. To my utter dismay, we were informed that the office did not accept my father's insurance. This news came as a shock and a complete waste of our time. My father, who suffers from Parkinson's disease and is blind, was eagerly looking forward to this appointment, hoping for some relief from his toe pain. It was extremely disheartening to realize that the office had not bothered to verify insurance coverage before scheduling the appointment. The staff's lack of professionalism and consideration for their patients is truly disconcerting. While I cannot comment on the doctor's expertise since we never got a chance to see them, I must emphasize that the overall experience was marred by the unprofessional behavior of the staff. I would, however, like to mention one exception—a young man whose name I regrettably did not obtain. He seemed genuinely empathetic and tried his best to assist us despite the unfortunate circumstances. His compassion and professionalism were a breath of fresh air amidst an otherwise disappointing encounter. In conclusion, I strongly advise anyone seeking foot care to think twice before considering this office. Their unprofessional and inconsiderate staff, coupled with the complete disregard for insurance coverage, made this visit a complete waste of time for my father, who is in dire need of relief from his toe pain. I hope the management takes note of these issues and takes appropriate action to ensure a more patient-centric experience in the future. (My response to your reply) (6/14/23 - 5:42pm) - - I must say that I am deeply upset by your response. It seems like you are primarily focused on justifying the mistakes rather than addressing the core issues. While I understand that the city renovations and street closures are beyond your control, it does not excuse the errors made by your staff. Regardless of whether training is going on which from reading the negative reviews you do have, has been going on for years. Still the fact remains that there was a failure to properly verify my father's insurance information. This lack of attention to detail caused unnecessary stress and inconvenience for my father and our family. Furthermore, I find it disheartening that you dismiss the incident as an isolated event that does not reflect the quality of service you provide. While it may be true that the majority of your patients are satisfied, it is important to acknowledge and address the concerns of those who have had negative experiences. Additionally, I would like to bring to your attention that apart from the insurance mishap, I found the behavior of some of your female staff members to be rude. This further contributed to the overall disappointment and frustration we experienced during our visit. While I appreciate your acknowledgement of my detailed message, I urge you to take more meaningful action. Holding a meeting with the new staff is a step in the right direction, but it is crucial that you implement concrete measures to prevent such incidents from occurring again. This may include thorough verification procedures, enhanced training, and fostering a culture of respect and professionalism among your staff. I hope that you will genuinely consider these concerns and take them seriously. Every patient deserves to receive excellent care and be treated with kindness and respect.
