Waited over an hour to see doctor Rondon which was Past my scheduled appointment. Office on Columbus Ave In Manhattan NYC is small and way too many people in his office waiting to see him a long time during Covid 19. Choose to sit in the car most of the time I was waiting to see him. Saw him on March 5, 2021 for the first time and changed to another primary care Doctor today April 1st. The Doctor choose to send my blood to a laboratory in Brooklyn that is suspect (Empire City Laboratory), with many negative reviews and a review of false positives instead of to Quest Laboratory in Manhattan (NYC). The latter is well known and reputable and is where I have had my blood sent prior to Becoming his patient. It seems he has a relationship with this laboratory in Brooklyn, NYC, and obviously want them to get paid. Empire City Lab already billed my insurance. Doctor Rondon has not as of April 1, 2021. My health insurance says it’s up to the doctor which laboratory the specimens are sent. It should be up to the patient where their blood specimens are sent. He was hard to understand at times. Accent is very thick. He/office did not call to inform me my test results were ready until after I Randomly visited his office yesterday and picked it up. The doctor called me today (April 1, 2021) as I was in the process of changing him from being my pcp. A doctors appointment should not be an all day affair in a waiting room during Covid 19. He schedules too many people to sit in his office when he is the only doctor in that office. It seems from some of the other patients complaints in the waiting room He is in a habit of being behind schedule. I’m use to better care and this doctor unfortunately is not for me.
