Dr. Germain is by far the best doctor I have ever cross paths with. Her level of care, professionalism, attentiveness and responsiveness is matched by few other physicians. Most people treat you like another item on a list to be dealt with but Dr. Germain treats her patients like human beings who matter!! I WISH she was a primary care physician.

Dr. Germain is very professional and knowledgeable. She has good bed side manners and was genuinely concerned me. The only downfall is the waiting time for Dr. Germain. Before getting this appointment, I waited 3 other times in the office and had to leave because the wait time was almost 2-2.5 hours. This time I waited no more than 30 minutes. I have read prior reviews and have not experienced any of the other concerns besides the waiting time. To my understanding it was due to a lack of female GYN doctors which is what I wanted as opposed to going to a male doctor. I will certainly keep what I have read in the back of my mind but form my own opinions and judgments as I continue to see Dr. Germain. The facility has great parking in that crowded area, is very clean and the staff is friendly. I would've given 5 stars but it's due to the extensive length of time, and no reflection on Dr. Germain.

First, I want to start by letting it be known that Dr. Germaine has been my GYN Dr. for a number of years. I believe I found her through my insurance provider directory. Anyhow; to make a long story a little shorter; lately I have been very disappointed with her services along with whatever computer system they use. I recently made a visit to her office because my period lasted longer than expected. After she examined me she said she wasn't able to see the string to the IUD, so she ordered a pelvic and trans-vaginal sonogram. After all test and returning back to her; I was surprised when she asked me what's the reason for my visit; I had to remind her; she didn't give any results of those sonograms and didn't make any references to them. However; I was informed a few weeks before by her assistant; that my IUD was displaced making it ineffective and that it has to be removed and that I have a cyst on my left ovary. The last time I had a cyst on my right ovary that caused me to go to the emergency room and was very painful. Dr. Germain was only supposed to remove the cyst but claimed she could not remove the cyst without taking out my right ovary; mind you I have not had any kids as of yet and I do want to have kids. So now recent sonogram results show that I have a cyst on my left ovary and that the IUD is displaced. After second examination Dr. Germain says if she cannot see the string to the IUD she may need to do the procedure in the hospital putting me to sleep. However; honestly due to her recent insensitivity and non-bedside mannerisms I don't trust going to sleep without her running into problems. Now just to go more into my last visit to Dr. Germaine let me make note that the wait time was 2 1/2 hours and she appeared overworked, insensitive, and uninformative about what it is I was experiencing with my IUD without my inquiring. As Dr. Germain proceeded to use the metal forceps opening me up to see if she could see the IUD string to remove it, she asked if I had any children and I'm saying to myself how she doesn’t know that, I've been going to her for years, then she paused and left out of the room twice; while I was wide open and was extremely uncomfortable; in addition she also was very rough during the finger examination. The second time she left the room it was for several minutes, my hands were very sweaty and I was very nervous the whole time because I've never experienced anything like this before; then she returns and examines me again and says she can't find the string to my IUD and that she has to prescribe me a medication to open up my cervix. Being clueless to this whole procedure; I had to ask what does opening the cervix entails; and is it painful; then she explained it to me. I also wanted to know which IUD I had and she couldn't tell me the name of it because of some computer system update? I could not believe what I was hearing. So I want to know where are the years of all my medical history and records?? When I left her office that day I was very upset. I just don't feel a real sense of concern from this doctor or that she really has my best interest at hand. To conclude; Doctors should have a limit to the amount of patients they can see on a daily basis because if not it causes them to rush, be overworked, overbooked, insensitive, forgetful, and not take their time with each patient which in turn can be very detrimental for a patient such as myself. I just hope due to this review she will take it as constructive criticism to become a better doctor; she has potential. I really thought a female GYN doctor would be more sensitive and gentle towards another woman but it's quite the opposite in this case. I've heard on many occasions that male GYN doctors are a lot more gentle and sensitive to women needs so I will seek a male doctor from this point on.

My girlfriend had a 5:30 pm appointment (with the office closing at 6) and was kept waiting an hour and a half. There were people with her who had been waiting even longer. Nobody came out to explain or apologize, and when they finally decided to ask the receptionist what was going on, her response was that she was "off-duty." My girlfriend was not asked for her insurance when she walked in, so she had to go to the receptionist and make sure she had her information. This ray of sunshine was very annoyed at having to log back into her computer to do the job she was supposed to have done when my girlfriend walked in. When my girlfriend was finally brought in, the actual exam took about a minute and a half and Dr. Germain did not answer any of her questions. AVOID THIS OFFICE IF YOU CAN.
