Dr. Michael Fu

I can not say enough great things about Dr. Fu. I had a total reverse shoulder replacement. He explained the procedure in great detail, answered all my questions in a way the laymen could understand. The surgery went very well, and everything he had told me in relation to my recovery was spot on. He gave me a recovery timetable of 6-9 months, I am at the 6 month mark and am almost 100% healed, with virtually no pain. He also respects your time, and was never kept waiting at my pre and post op appointments. The entire episode was handled very professionally from start to finish. I could not recommend Dr. Fu more enthusiastically.

My experience with Dr. Fu -- and with his staff -- has been as good as it could get. The surgery went well, my recovery has been easier than I worried, and Dr. Fu's support staff has been fantastic. His website is easy to negotiate, and extremely thorough. I've already recommended Dr. Fu to two physical therapists, and recommend him to anyone needing any kind of shoulder surgery. When I could no longer avoid surgery, I chose Dr. Fu based on his video presentation and his education and training. Dr. Michael Fu (HSS NYC) and his associate Brandon are terrific. I hurt my shoulder about a year and a half ago and I went to Dr. Fu and he was kind, easy to connect to, and spot on with his diagnosis. He sent me for an MRI and prescribed physical therapy and my shoulder healed without surgery. He is very genuine and not looking to put you under the knife if you don’t need it. Brandon runs the practice and is very easy to get in touch with, super accommodating and SO nice. I highly recommend this practice.

Dr. Fu repaired my right rotator cuff, biceps, and removed a bone spur the third week of September 2022. I was feeling good in only 3 months and great in 6 months. I am so grateful to him for the amazing job he did. He explains everything he did after the surgery and is open to questions. I don't think I could have picked a better surgeon for my arm and shoulder. I live in Northern Bergen County NJ and was able to see him in Paramus, NJ. The surgery is at HSS in NYC.
