Dr. Melissa Chan

Dr. Chan is amazing! She is so kind and always listening to everything I share (unlike many doctors who HAVE NO INTEREST listenin). She always hear to all my questions and does her best to help abd respect my voice. Her Diligence ! Office always keep up with appointments and follow ups and they are so efficient! I recommended to my friends many times! Easy to visit in China town. 2-3 minute walk from many trains.

Just moved here and I am so grateful that I found dr. Chan. she is so efficient and reliable, takes time to go thru every single details to make sure she thoroughly understands what I feel. Doctors she recommended to me were great as well. I felt rlly bad and I was worried about my physical health but now I feel way better since I found someone that I can always reach out with no hesitation. On another note the front desk(Alice) was rlly helpful and friendly, I truly appreciate her patience. Overall it was such a pleasant experience for me.

Dr. Chan did an amazing job in making sure my treatment went as planned. She was knowledgeable and gentle. She asked me to come back a week later for a follow up visit just to make sure everything had gone as planned. I highly recommend her medical as well as her cosmetic services.

Not sure how everyone else had a good experience with her..? but personally I definitely did not have the same. I left my previous pcp and regretted this decision BIG TIME. My previous pcp understood that I had a high deductible and expensive medical plan so she always waived my copay to see her for my follow up on the annual blood work each year. Of course this is out of kindness and empathy and I don’t expect any doctor to do the same. However, I found Dr. Chan’s tone and attitude to be very cold, mean, unsympathetic and intimidating. I just didn’t feel comfortable enough with her and also felt her impatience. Im not sure whether she is really the type to sit there and let you finish talking about your issues before she sends you to the door. I don’t doubt her skills or professionalism but she could really try to be a little more genuine. Receptionist and nurse was very nice so no complaints.

I switched my mom PCP to Dr. Chan because of the reviews but I'm already looking for another doctor in less than 1 year. Dr. Chan’s does not show any empathy or respect. She is impatient and her response are very cold as if you're a problem. You can't even ask her a question and she seem annoyed you're even questioning her when one just want as much information as possible when they have a health concern. Isnt that what doctors are for? Even worst, they allows a dog to roam freely into the patient's room. I understand, one may want to made the office more inviting and friendly but you dont allow a dog to wonder freely into any room. Some individuals may be allergic. Keep it in the waiting room or someplace someone can keep an eye on the dog. I don't understand how a doctor office can be so thoughtless in this aspect.
