I was referred to Dr. Quirno due to herniated disc in my neck and i exhausted all options for pain management, Dr. Quirno was very comforting, compassionate and informative , we discussed different options and outcomes and i opted to have surgery. to say he is the best surgeon in nyc would be an understatement he was very involved with my care pre and post op and im almost a year out from surgery and the discomfort and pain i was experiencing for so long is gone. Thank you Dr. Quirno. If i could give more than 5 stars i would.

Dr Quirno and his wonderful surgical coordinator, Jeanette have been nothing but kind, empathetic, and compassionate. Everything was explained in great detail and all non surgical options were explored. Once all non surgical options were exhausted our daughter underwent a spinal surgery and from start to finish Dr Q and Jeanette explained everything in great detail from pre op, to intra op to post op care. The expertise with this injury and how to treat it was clearly defined from the first visit! Dr Q worked alongside two other surgeons who again showed nothing but kindness, compassion, and patience with two nervous parents! From start to finish I give Dr Q and his team 5 stars and will be forever grateful to him for all that he has done for our daughter.

A few months ago my mother slipped and fell hurting her back. Since her fall she became progressively debilitated and had significant pain in her back and legs which affected her activities of daily living. Concerned that my mother is a high risk surgical patient (she is diabetic which makes it more difficult for her wounds to heal) but recognizing that she needed surgery to prevent her from becoming wheel chair bound, I began researching orthopedic surgeons. I can not express how knowledgeable, patient, caring, professional and most importantly effective Dr. Quirno was in treating my mother. He patiently provided information to my mother and my family on how severe her condition was and exactly how he planned to treat it. He not only successfully repaired my mothers spine but followed up with her following her surgery while inpatient as well as months after the surgery. It is important to note, my mother is no longer in pain! I provide the highest level of recommendation to Dr. Quirno and his team. He is an orthopedic surgeon that is practicing at the top of his profession. My mother is my heart and words can express how grateful my family and I are for Dr. Quirno helping her. Thank you Dr. Quirno, we appreciate you!

I am on medicare and Dr. Quirno said he does not do surgergy for medicare patients I traveled from Brooklyn with pain in my back only to be told this. Why wasn't I told this prior to my making this one hour subway trip to visit for ten minutes and then one hour back to Brooklyn? I am 75 walking in pain. He may be a great surgeon but his staff should inform patients about coverage.

Dr. Quirno is one of those doctors who seems more interested in rushing you out the door than in actually listening to you explain what is going on with your body or helping you get better. He asked me what was wrong and when I started telling him, he cut me off and then hastily ran through a set of questions and then was out the door. If you can only see a doctor on your 30-minute lunch break, here's your guy. If you want a doctor who might listen to you, and then explain possible causes and treatments, go elsewhere.
