Dr. Pepin is absolutely wonderful, kind, professional, and knowledgeable of her work. She made me feel very comfortable and at ease during my surgery. She instilled trust with me, which is very important when putting your life in your doctor's hands, so yes I would recommend Dr. Pepin to anyone for sure!

Dr. Pepin is amazing. She takes her time to exhaustively provide information and options. She patiently answers questions and responds to messages quickly. She follows-up with other doctors as necessary and shows real concern. She has a kind manner and is one of the best doctors I've ever seen.

I wish I could give 0 stars. I was happy to have an appt w her seeing as she had many positive reviews. I have suffered from extremely painful periods since I was 13 and was told in my early 20s I may have endometriosis. The only option to verify was surgery and the time because I was “young” I was advised against it. Now in my late 30s and after taking BC pills to help ease the pain, I noticed a change in my period and the pain becoming unbearable again, so I asked my GYN for a referral. I met with Dr. Peppin and have her my history. She told me it sounded like I may have endometriosis, but prior to having a surgery, she wanted to do a few preliminary procedures. An internal exam (similar to the pap) and an ultrasound. The ultrasound discovered I had three small fibroids (never had any until recently). Prior to our zoom appointment, I researched the names of the fibroids to understand what I was dealing with. In our Appt, she asked me to remind her of my situation. Red flag number 1. (My previous OB/GYN would read my chart, any notes he took, etc to familiarize himself ahead of our meeting time). She then told me about the fibroids and asked if I bleed heavy. At that time I didn’t, so I reminded her that while I don’t bleed heavy, the pain I’m experiencing is debilitating and interfering with work/quality of life. She then gave me a 180 suggestion, telling me she thinks I should stay on my current BC pills, but to take them continuously without stopping for the week break each pack contains. I explained to her that when I’ve done this before for vacation or a bday weekend, I am still met with great pain and it’s very uncomfortable . She then tells me “ Well Mrs. Z, I think you’re always going to be uncomfortable”. I’m not even sure that I heard whatever she said immediately after that because I was in shock that she made that statement. I’ve educated myself on this topic as it’s plagued me for most of my life and while I’m no MD, I know the pain I experience isn’t normal and should be remedied. At that point I knew I was going to have to find someone else. I regret not asking her why she went from saying I was a good candidate for the exploratory surgery (to see if I have endometriosis) to “you’ll always be uncomfortable”. I was just turned off after that statement. To add insult to injury, upon researching a new DR. and returning to work after a few months of leave, I followed her instructions of taking BC pills continuously. After 2 months, I was extremely nauseous daily, experienced deep painful aches in my uterine area, and was low energy, I stopped taking the pills and just found a new DR. I was met with relief upon stopping the pills, however, my periods are now longer, unpredictable and very heavy while still painful. My new DR has been a God send. He listened, took notes and immediately started to devise a plan. He explained that the road wouldn’t be easy and it’s going to be trial and error while figuring out what will work, but he is dedicated to helping finding a solution so I can have a better quality of life. Wish I found him first! I’m not sure the basis of her response to me, however when it comes to uterine/pain issues, many women have said to feel gaslit, not beloved and not listened to by medical professionals. That was the case with Dr. Peppin. Trust your instincts, advocate for yourself and know when to get second or third opinions if necessary. They know medicine but you know your body!
