Incredibly long wait times, over an hour and a half to draw blood, two hours to see the doctor. Cramped waiting room ten to twelve patients in a space that should seat six with no urgency to get patients processed. They were not understanding of my father's needs.

I went to get a physical completed at this doctors office. I told the receptionist “ I’m here to get a physical and this is my first time here”. She responded that none of the doctors are available. I asked her how long will it take for them to get back and that I am willing to wait. She said they’re not coming back for the day. The sign outside their office says open and apparently there are two physicians located at this clinic. So I asked her why are you open if none of the physicians are here? The primary objective of a doctors office is to see patients, diagnose them accordingly, take care of the patients with their health needs and abide by the oath that they have taken as physicians. The receptionist said “ it’s not the public’s business nor my concern as to why they are open” and that “ they still have a business to run and hence why they are open”. The business to run is to SEE patients and try their best to diagnose them. I asked the receptionist if I can make an appointment for the next day and she replied that there are no appointments available until January. Her response occurred without looking at appointments or even making an effort to see if there are ANY available appointments prior to January. She just looked at me and responded no availability till January. This isn’t my first time going to a doctors office and the receptionist always double checks and makes sure that she does her job to the best of his or her ability to assist the patient. The general public wants better healthcare and healthcare availability. But experiences like this and receptionist like this won’t move healthcare forward as they are not considering the patients well being. What if I had gotten a physical and found out I may have a condition which can alter my life if not treated immediately. Now that process will have to wait until I see another physician. We never know what the patient is going through nor what the patient is experiencing. If a physicians office hires a receptionist like the one I experienced at Dr. Kamilla Ismailoffs office, then it is a reflection of the physician itself. I have changed my PCP after that experience. Yes they might’ve lost just one patient and they’re still experiencing high volume of patients according to the receptionist but the one patient that isn’t coming back does not bode well for the Hippocratic Oath the physician has taken. One patient not coming back to the clinic might not be a big deal to a lot of people but to me, it is a big deal because we are in difficult times right now and this is when we need healthcare the most.
