My 82-year old brother (who's already in poor health, and disabled) was scheduled for a colonoscopy at 2 with Dr. Zlatanic. We arrived at 1:30, and were told to sit and wait in the office (Manhattan Endoscopy). I went to the desk to ask when I ought to come back to collect him - and only then did they tell me that the doctor was running over two hours behind schedule, so my brother would have to wait. When I asked why they hadn't had the courtesy to call us and let us know, they said they're not permitted to call without previous permission from the doc. No apology, nothing but a collective shrug. My brother is physically unable to sit in a hard chair for over two hours, so we told them we were leaving, and did so. Unacceptable level of service, and he won't be going back.
