Dr. Jun Kim

Dr. Jun Kim has saved my life. Admittedly, lots of surgeons do that in various ways. What makes Dr. Kim special are many things. With a background in engineering (before going to med school, residency, fellowships, and becoming a well-decorated surgeon), he has an advanced approach on orthopedic issues. He also consistently achieves EXTREME attention to detail. He is also very transparent and never "paints" the risks or benefits of any decisions small or large in any way, he's very objective and very transparent. He also is a very very good guy personally, very caring about his patients through his interactions with them and long after, and he is always calm, cool, collected, and eager to help whether that help is with him or guidance he can give you to someone else.

Dr Kim and his team are the all stars of all stars. On my first appointment, Dr Kim sat with me, answered all of my questions, walked through my scans with me, and explained what routes I could potentially take related to my condition. I then took his advice and went into surgery, where Sylvia, Anaika, and Dr Kim himself were incredibly helpful and reliable leading up to the surgery. Sylvia was able to answer all of my medical questions and gave me incredible insights, and Anaika went above and beyond related to all administrative tasks/duties that I needed assistance with. It was amazing working with Dr Kim & team from the first meeting to date. I'm about 23 days out of surgery and I've felt significantly better. Thank you for all of your help!

Dr. Kim is a miracle worker. Given the complexity of the two surgeries he performed on my cervical spine, coupled with his analysis, technique and grace, I know I was in the hands and care of one of the most superlative surgeons in the field.

I am so thankful for everything Dr. Kim was able to do. Following a variety of injuries, I was left with a herniated disc that was causing me daily pain and barring me from living my life. Dr. Kim went through all of my options thoroughly and thoughtfully. Dr. Kim is patient and knowledgeable and with each appointment explained the details of my progress. It's immensely changed my life, and I'm extremely grateful.

I showed up to the Emergency Department in early December with severe leg and back pain, and after a scan we realized I had a very significant herniated disc, that was compressing my nerve and causing the pain. I was lucky enough to be connected with Dr. Kim at that time who walked me and my husband through what the procedure would be like, and because medicine seemed to have helped me I decided that I didn’t want the procedure. Fast forward 2 weeks, and my pain was not only worse than before, but I had lost sensation in my feet. We contacted Dr. Kim’s office Christmas Day and they were so compassionate and added me on for surgery that same week, they walked me through what the process would be since I could no longer safely be at home and had to come to the hospital. It’s now been two weeks since the procedure and I can’t say enough about how grateful I am for Dr. Kim and the team for being realistic and communicating clearly about what the recovery would look like, educating me on the precautions I need, talking me through the necessary medication for pain management and also helping me get to the place I am now. My only regret is not having this surgery earlier!
