Dr. Joseph Stein

I have used Dr Stein for a while and have recommended him often. He is an incredible doctor, and has always been the best orthopedist around. However, after calling in for an appointment, his secretary didn’t even wait for a response before slamming down the phone aggressively. If you work in healthcare, you are required to explain yourself and reasoning behind why you can’t take a patient before rudely slamming the phone down. I will be understanding, knowing that it has been a long day, but don’t expect patients to give your office raving reviews when they are mistreated.

I waited weeks for an appointment & when I made the appointment I gave all insurance information to secretary & when I show up to the appointment she asks me for my insurance card & pulls up some false information saying that I have some other insurance coverage which I never even heard of the name before & that they don't take that insurance

The front desk staff is very very rude. As the poster below wrote, nasty. Just hangs up. Stay away. I was done but read the owner’s nonsense reply below. None of that was my issue. Random excuses 🙄. Stay away. Response from the owner:”Our front desk is very friendly. There are certain orthopedic problems that I don't take care of. Orthopedics has many areas ; shoulder , knee , hip , hands , feet , broken bones , arthritis . We regret that saying this to certain people elicits unpleasant feelings.”

I just want to add my voice to the myriad of other reviewers who complained about rude receptionists at this office. I called into the office and the receptionist was rude and unresponsive and refused to answer basic questions. Very unprofessional. I don't know anything about the doctor himself, who might be great, but his staff is not.

Only rated this facility a 1 star because we couldn't go any lower. I was REFERRED to this physician for imaging due to a leg pain diagnosed as sciatica that got worst after doing physical therapy for 2 monrhs. I called to make an appointment and within seconds of my sentence, I was rudely advised "we don't treat that here, feel better" and then hung up. My wife then called and spoke to the same medical receptionist and she was even ruder and once she was asked for her name,she simply hung up. How disgusting is a facility that's suppose to help people, people that are REFERRED to your place, and they're turned away in such a rude manner. And by reading the previous reviews, nothing is being done by the person who employs her as if they like the fact that she's giving such rude assistance to people. If you choose to serve a purpose in this world to help heal, DO SO. Or simply shut down.
