I came to Dr. Farmer a few years ago with lower back pain and hip pain . The minute he walked into the room , I saw a tall Dr. with a smile and he extended his hand as he introduced himself . He sat down and listened to me without interrupting , I had his full attention. I quickly made a fast mental note , hmm that's why I was waiting an extra 10 minutes for him , he treats his patients like valued people ! While I haven't resolved my back issues due to another medical issue , I've since referred many people to him . My husband who is not easy to please , really likes Dr. Farmer's care , professionalism and of course his surgical expertise . He should know , because Dr. Farmer operated on his cervical and lower back . As I'm writing this review my sister in law yesterday evening had back surgery , and yes done by Dr. James Farmer . If you want a Dr. who treats you like you're a part of "the team" a doctor who takes the time to show you and explain what's wrong and how it can be healed .. Go see Dr. Farmer . You'll come away thinking something must hurt on his body , for him to have the real compassion many people are looking for when they're in severe or chronic pain D.Henderson

Dr. Farmer is a highly skilled surgeon with a heart of gold. He has always been interested in my life and how my surgical outcomes affect me. I couldn't have asked for a better doctor in my corner. I am very grateful to have found him.

Dr. James Farmer is an EXCELLENT SURGEON. He did my back surgery almost 3 years ago August. I greatly appreciate his excellence in making sure I walked again without ANY complications. Thank you so much Dr Farmer. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM AND ANY ONE WHO'S SCARED... DON'T TO BE ...you'll be in excellent hands.

Wonderful, friendly, personable doctor. As a operating room nurse one of my colleagues recommended me to Dr. Farmer. HSS is the only place I would have surgery. The first visit I knew he would be the surgeon to perform both my neck and back surgery's.
