I see a lot of negative reviews of this clinic, based, I think, on a misunderstanding. In spite of the doctor's name on this clinic which implies an Anglo-Saxon ethnicity, it's entirely Chinese staffed with an almost exclusively Chinese client base. As far as I can see, their patients are mostly low income. The Chinese are a practical people, not always given to niceties; therefor the brusqueness of the front desk staff is probably mistaken for rudeness. However, in my experience, the staff and doctors have been informative and efficient. They do the job, checking test results, prescribing medicine, taking blood samples without fuss or ceremony. And occasionally I've had some particularly enjoyable interactions with doctors. If you go here, you will get competent service, with waiting times no worse than anywhere else. As long as you're not expecting friendliness from the staff (not unfriendly, just not effusive, no bedside manner) then you will do just fine by coming here.

Unprofessional, bad attitude and unfriendly front desk staff. I had an appointment and had to wait 1 hour before being seen even though I was there before my appointment time. All they do is talk instead of actually helping the patients.

I don't know who gave them the single good review but he's probably a friend or family member of the doctor. The entire office is a mess. The secretaries are rude and unprofessional. The wait times are insane because they refuse to control the number of walk ins. Basically everything about this office is about money and numbers and not service. My parents have been going to this office of random doctors for years because my aunt works as a nurse for them. (I go to my own doctor because i refuse to deal with such people as those who work with Dr. Hall). My dad who had already had cancer and was in remission was feeling lethargic for about a year. We kept having him go to the doctor at Dr. Hall's office (Dr. Lam) and get checked. They kept saying it was his blood sugar and his pre-diabetic status. They never bothered to check if perhaps his cancer had returned. Months and multiple visits to this office and changing my dad's diet we get notified that his cancer actually returned and that it was at stage IV. This was the same office that was caring for him during his first bout with cancer. It's insane that they didn't advise him to keep an eye on it or to check. By the time we found out the cancer had metastasized. As i said, no one cares at this office. It's all about the numbers. My mother currently goes to this office and I am going to change her GP because almost every visit with her to the office is terrible. Either the doctor is completely uncaring in their demeanor and do not bother to ask questions about health or their secretaries are rude and lazy. The waiting room is usually crammed with old people and the wait can be 2 hours long even if you have an appointment because the secretaries don't know how to schedule walk ins around appointments so it's basically first come first serve even when you have an appointment. I will say we did have one good doctor there who actually seemed to care about the patient. She had just started working there but as far as i know she is only in the office one day out of the week. Unfortunately, older Chinese citizens are not as well informed about various doctors because they don't know how to read online reviews. They often just rely on word of mouth or convenience and as they do not speak English their choices are limited. Due to these reasons I can see why Dr. Hall has so much repeat business even though the service offered is subpar. His patients simply don't know better. If you look at the other reviews, you can see that not only do patients have an issue, but even pharmacists. It isn't often that one professional will badly review another so that goes to show how truly awful this office really is.

The worst office and doctors ever. They're horrible and have no bedside manners. I would avoid at all costs unless like you the following: long wait times, rude front desk staff, doctors that don't care. You'll spend maybe 5 minutes at most with them before they send you on your way.

I am a pharmacist trying to help a patient obtain refills until her next scheduled appointment in 1 month; after-all it's not the patient's fault that the refills did not coincide with the appointment date. On the first call, I was told the doctor was not in and to call the Brooklyn's office the next day. I called the Brooklyn office the next day and a male receptionist refused to approve the refills and would not pass me to the doctor. I inform the patient and the patient called the NYC office. After some words, the office told her to have the pharmacy call the office. I called the office and was put on hold twice for over 10 minutes each time. They informed me at first that the RN was out to lunch and would call me back. Over an hour later, no call. I called the office and was placed on hold again. They finally sent the prescriptions which was incomplete and I had to call them back, again. This was the MOST unprofessional office I have ever dealt with. The only name I got was Tiffany and that took much more that it should to obtain. The LAW requires all STAFF to IDENTIFY themselves. I feel sorry that any patient has to deal with this office.
