I rarely give reviews, but I really think Dr. Lin is a really great doctor who deserves more recognition. He is very attentive, polite, and patient. Unlike many other doctors who try to rush you out the door as fast as possible, Dr. Lin sat down with me, took the time to thoroughly explain my condition, and made sure that all my questions and concerns were taken care of. He is very knowledgeable and I would highly recommend him for any concerns regarding the spine.

Dr. Lin was amazing! We met with him once before surgery and he explained in great detail all the risks and benefits and all our options. He was extremely patient and came back into the room even after he left because we had a few more silly questions, but he treated it with the upmost importance. Right before the surgery he explained the detailed process of the surgery and how I would feel after I get up. After I got up from the surgery he explained everything to me again and then called my wife and explained everything to her! He was very comforting, while I was in recovery he came back to check on me said he had time between me and his next patient and just wanted to see how I was doing and see if I have any more questions for him. I could not be any happier with the outcome as well as his bedside manner and level of intelligence. He explained what the recovery process would be and any medication‘s that were necessary after the procedure and how to taper if necessary. If I were able to give him 20 stars I would! I am so grateful that I got to use Dr. Lin for my surgery!

I was referred to Dr. James Lin for a work related injury and he was absolutely wonderful! Excellent bed side manners, knowledgeable and took his time explaining everything to me in great detail putting my mind at ease. If I’m ever in need of a spine specialist and I sincerely hope I don’t, he’ll be my first call! A special shout out to his assistant Melissa for going and beyond in scheduling my appointment.

Dr. Lin is someone I would look forward to working with if I move forward with surgery. He was very pleasant, patient in clearly explaining things and answering my questions. I felt he listened to me and spent the time and attention I needed to feel fully informed and confident in all the knowledge I was seeking. I recommend him highly - and Mt. Sinai in having him on its team.

Dr. Lin was late for my appointment because he was still in surgery but what I liked was he had me taken out of the waiting room and put in a bed so I could get comfortable. I like that he had his nurse inform me that he would be late and why. I'm a Special Ed teacher. I like that he does what we teachers call a "Think Aloud" and then he explains his reasoning. I really liked that he used my films while explaining. And then he introduced me directly to the next Dr he works with. As a Special Education teacher I liked his team process, explaining, and clarifying. I felt respected and that he respected my apprehension. His nurses and assistants were very attentive. I like the supportive tag-team atmosphere! As they were leaving my room I thought, Batman & Superman.
