Every interaction I've had with Dr. Strauss and his team has been positive and productive. Dr. Strauss himself is attentive, energetic, and clear. He supported my choice to try non-surgical options, which didn't work, and finally operated on my meniscus and cartilage two weeks ago. The surgery was a snap and the recovery has been incredibly fast. I won't know for a while if the problem has been solved, but I'm sure that I've received outstanding care (including calls from Dr. Strauss the night before and the night after surgery). Also, Landee in his office keeps everything running like a top and is a problem-solver. Great practice.

The first time I saw Dr E. Strauss was in 2016. I had Rt knee pain. The MRI indicated a meniscus tear. He believed that the tear was more than likely from many years ago since I didn’t do anything recently that was too much to develop the tear. His suggestion was to try a non-surgical method with an injection that would give my torn meniscus a chance to work it’s way back to a point where it would not give me pain and instability. The injection worked fantastic. It actually worked for six years. I took long walks, rode a bike and did a bit of jogging. I had no issues at all. I’m 61. A few months ago the pain returned. Dr. Strauss tried the injection again. Unfortunately the injection did not have the same results as the first time. So I’m scheduled for arthroscope meniscus surgery. The fact that Dr Strauss tried non surgical means first gave me complete confidence in opting for this knee surgery. I’m very confident that Dr Strauss will do the absolute best that is possible for my knee. This will be my second surgery from Dr. Strauss. The first surgery was a complete shoulder revision surgery in 2/21. This was a re-do from a failed slap tear surgery from another Doctor. I’m a full year in recovery from that surgery. It was a long painful recovery. A tremendous amount of painful physical therapy. But I will say this. My shoulder is now completely pain free. I actually can’t believe it. My shoulder feels absolutely great. I would let Dr Strauss do all my joints over if I could. Dr Strauss did a tremendous job. I’m truly grateful. I was reluctant to do this upcoming knee surgery. I wanted to put it off as long as possible. Dr. Strauss said it was up to me and didn’t push me to get it done. But the pain has become worse. So it’s time. Regardless how this knee surgery turns out, Dr. Eric Strauss is without a doubt a top orthopedic surgeon that really cares about his patients and I highly recommended him. He’s a regular guy that talks to you like a friend.

Dr. Strauss was a phenomenal physician during every encounter. He was extremely attentive, paid close attention to my injury and my progress, and best optimized my care to get me back to ice hockey and skiing, among other sports. He was extremely thorough and open to questions, all while reassuring me that we will treat my ACL injury as a team. He weighed the pros and cons of each of my treatment options and did a great job with the surgery. He helped reduce my pre-surgical anxiety and the rapport we developed made me smile each time I left his office. I would 100% return to Dr. Strauss for any injuries or issues and would recommend him to anyone. Thanks so much Dr. Strauss for giving me my quality of life back!

9 months post op ACL reconstruction and I would highly recommend Dr. Strauss to anyone who undergoes the same surgery. He helped me get back into my daily activities and workouts in no time. Always a pleasant experience each visit. Such a boost in my morale to be able to run again and with no knee pain. Thank you Dr. Strauss!

I had a torn rotator cuff revision by Dr. Strauss, I want it to be known he is the best of the best. I have had orthopedic surgery at NYU, Northwestern, in Chicago, Special Surgery, and Texas Orthopedic Hospital. None of the care I received at any of the aforementioned institutions, by renowned MD's can ever compare to the care I received from Dr. Strauss. Botched rotator cuff tears are notoriously difficult to repair. Dr. Strauss told me that there was a possibility he would not be able to repair the shoulder. I was prepared for any eventuality related to the surgery. Dr. Strauss repaired the shoulder and it is as good as new. In addition his humility is something I have never seen in any health care professional. When calling patients after surgery he identifies himself As Eric (Strauss). His manners and humility are equal to his skill. Lucky me. Thank you. Dr. Strauss (Surgery April 2018)
