What a terrible rip off. Overcharging for services. I had been seeing a PT that I loved in Long Island City. Unfortunately, due to NY's ridiculous law that I had to get a referral after a month of treatment, I was advised to meet with Dr. Fatakhov to get a referral. I expected to have to pay some amount, but I was shocked at the cost. Dr. Fatakhov's office charged me $440 ($187 after insurance) for a 10 minute VIRTUAL doctor call for her to basically say "yep you can still go to the PT you're already seeing." I understand doctor's appointments have overhead and costs associated outside the actual time you spend with a doctor. However, I cannot rationalize this office charging me that fee for what amounted to her saying "sure keep doing what you're already doing" over a brief video call in less than the time it takes to grab lunch. In the future, I'll be more proactive about asking the cost because wow this was an expensive mistake.
