Excellent! Just had my first visit with Dr. Blochin after she was recommended by my primary. She had availability within the same week as when I called to request an appointment- surprisingly! Her approach is warm and refreshing and to the point. I recommend her to anyone looking for a dermatologist in the area.

Having chronic skin challenges, I’ve been in and out of doctors offices most of my life. Dr. Blochin is hands down the best! She’s well rounded with care; highly intelligent and intuitive, but most importantly she’s also empathetic with an incredible bedside manner.

Initially, I liked what I read about Dr. Blochin on her website. However, when her office contacted me to schedule an appointment for the 2 concerns I had, they told me I would have to make 2 separate appointments. This tells me that Dr. Blochin is hard up for work and needs to bill insurance for two separate visits when 1 visit should be sufficient for a consult. This also tells me that Dr Blochin has little regard for her patients time - believing they can drop everything for 2 appointments rather than dealing with everything at once. When I go to my primary care we often discuss various issues at one appointment. Needless to say, I will not be dealing with this “physician”.

I am stuck with paying a high bill for a preventative annual screening. I went to Dr. Blochin as a new patient for a routine annual screening. I informed the doctor and front desk THREE (3) times it was a preventative annual screening: when I made the appointment, upon check-in, and to Dr. Blochin. Preventative screenings are FREE with insurance, so I was surprised to receive a steep bill. After numerous calls over a month and a half, I was finally told that because the doctor wrote a prescription, it counted as a normal visit and not an annual screening. To be clear, I asked her to renew an old prescription from my past dermatologist; for this, Dr. Blochin DID NOT assess anything. The entire visit took ten minutes at most. I urge you to choose another dermatologist because this office was unreasonable, their billing department is difficult to speak with, and their method of billing is disingenuous.
