Dr. Held is straight forward and kind. All of these bad reviews are ridiculous. 10/10 would recommend!

Dr. Held did my surgery on 12/4/2021. He was very knowledgeable and informative prior to surgery. I returned to him a week later for my follow up. He asked how I felt I said "fine" he took off my strips said I was healing wonderfully and I dont have to return unless I felt something was wrong. I was ok with that. Dr. Held is a well experienced surgeon in his field. I would recommend Dr. Held for your surgery.

Dr Held, how dare you. My father was sent to Dr Held to take a look at a drain he had from a prior surgery not done by Dr Held. This sad excuse for a surgeon put nothing in the way of the drain opening before removing it, causing blood and liquid to completely cover my sick, weak, cancer patient fathers clothes, forcing him to go home sopping wet in sub-freezing temperatures. If you are this tired, this undone by your profession that you cannot offer BASIC HUMAN DIGNITY to the patients that see you, leave the field. After months of near torturous medical complications, you couldn’t even have the respect and basic decency to put a cup or gauze by the drain opening to keep my father from needing to lay on plastic in order to not destroy the inside of his car because of the sheer amount of blood dripping from his clothing? This doctor and anyone who recommends his practice ought to be ashamed of themselves.

**Beware** Dr. Held is the most unprofessional and dismissive physician I have ever dealt with. I was unfortunately referred to him by my PCP to ask of his advice of a previous surgery (not by him), because my PCP and I were concerned with my healing. On 9/20/21 I went to meet with him. I was greeted by a NA & PA who were very professional, empathetic, and informative....but then came him. He walks in the room and said...”WHY ARE YOU HERE.” I advised him (as he stood at the door). “YOU LOOK FINE” and left. I was shocked, felt devalued, and humilated. Unfortunately, I could not leave a review on Northwell Health website. But I did get a 24 hr survey to which I made certain I left the same review. FYI, find another surgeon!!!
