I've been seeing her my entire adult life. I've tried other doctors and offices and none of the other doctors care about me as an individual. I know this office is extremely busy because they try to take everyone. No matter how busy she is Dr. Shong makes sure all my questions are answered, order the receptionists to fulfill my requests, ordered lab tests that are specific to me. And more important than anything voluntarily disclose and inform me of how much everything potentially costs me! My entire family and relatives all see her. Sure it is a VERY long wait and location is out of the way for me and there's this one receptionist who is rude but I'm here for the doctor, not the receptionist. The quality of care and her ethics is what keeps me going back. I've been ripped off by so many other doctors that won't answer my questions even when they aren't busy, they work slow, they can be condescending, overcharging my insurance and me, etc. They just don't care. I rather wait hours for quality care (sure it sucks) than walk into a pretty place with friendly receptionists and nice Amenities but with a doctor that simply does not care about my concerns. Many of her patients know the system so its not that bad once u figure out how that office handles the overflow of patients. It's always a minimum of 1.5hr wait. I go at a specific time and put my name down, draw my blood, check how many patients are before me (she averages about 15 mins per a patient) then go for breakfast or lunch then come back 15-25 before they call my name. Stop complaining people, it's downtown Flushing. It's chaotic but there is a system to the maddness. You know what? No, Go ahead and complain and go somewhere else that suits your expectations better. The more people leave, the better for me me.

My family and I have been seeing dr song and dr zhu for years. The doctor is always very busy and office is always crowded. But all stuff working there are nice and responsive. We sometimes call for report result or other issues, and they are nice and helpful on the phone too.

Agree that the front desk is rude. I sign up around 9:00 for a Saturday walk in for my mom and was told to come back in 1.5 hours. When I came back with my mom the front desk was scolding that she had call me and why didn't i have the blood drawn earlier. Their tone was like we are giving them inconvenience. Excuse me, I was told I can come back next morning to have the blood drawn. And what is the hurry, you just need to take the vitals, it is not as if Dr. Shong is ready to see my mom. I didn't care, I yelled back at them. I won't take their attitude when this office never respect patient's time. I know the doctor's time is precious but so is mine. We made an appointment the following week to see the lab result and still needed to wait over an hour. You should be grateful that I didn't come up the front desk checking every 15 minutes and complain about the long wait. I am willing to put up with the long wait because I expected it but I am not willing to put up with the front desk attitude. If you don't honor the appointment time, the least you can do is treat the patient courteously. And they claim my mom need to pay an copay and when she doesn't need too. Their tone was so sure. But guess what I am know my mom insurance too. I stand firm and told them to double check. Don't let them SCAM you. BE CAREFUL, the front desk are run by a bunch of Chinese immigrant without any medical background who speaks poor English that doesn't know what they are doing. Know your patient's right and insurance policy. Dr. Shong has been seeing my mom for a long time, that is why she don't want to change. If you need to change your physician, I would advise to go else where if you don't have the time to wait all day. Dr. Shong only works 4 days a week and she is way overbook. There is two other doctors in the office too but most people prefer Dr. Shong. With 3 doctors, the front desk is very busy and doesn't have the time to carter to you when you need referral or prescription. In one word, this practice is a chaos.

Dr. Shong are now only available on Tues., Thurs. and Sat. Dr. Zhu is no longer there. Instead, there is a physician assistant, Michelle Luo. BEWARE!!! Front desk called her Dr. Luo. That really cheats and confuses patients. They only want to make money rather than take care of patients. The safety measure they implement for preventing the spread of COVID-19 is a joke. They don't take walk in anymore, everything is by appointment. Still they overbook during this pandemic. The precautions only prevent the staffs from getting COVID-19 among themselves. Only 7 patients are allowed inside the waiting area. The elderly patients are at high risk getting COVID-19 to begin with. They care less, many had to wait crowded outside the hallway for half an hour, even thought they arrive on time because there are too many patients in the waiting area. If you can't handle so much patients please spread out the appointments. It defeat the purpose of precautions, when you allow overcrowding in the narrow hallway just because you can't handle the amount of patients you book. There are patients of other office walking in and out. No social distance at all. Your life mater, so does the patient's life too.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. This is the most unorganized doctor’s office I have ever seen. I had to help an elderly pt see this doctor. She had an appointment for 1:00 and was there on time. Upon arrival there is a crowd of people standing in front of the door. No social distancing because the hallway is so narrow. The elderly pt was asked to sign her name and wait in the hallway full of people. Granted she is 90 years old and the staff was made aware that she can not stand for prolonged periods. Meanwhile, I hear another lady asking for her lab report. She was given the wrong report twice. Shortly after a pt that was scheduled for 10:00am shows up and they take her first. This gets out-lash from pts who were all scheduled for 1:00. Yes there are multiple pts scheduled for the same time. I can maybe understand running an office like this pre-pandemic times but not now. If you want to catch COVID going to see the doctor then by all means take your chance. I am relieved that this is not my doctor but feel bad for all of the pts that have to come here. I have been to other doctor’s offices and they are not run this way given the current situation.
