Mixed review, but overall a HORRIBLE experience with this office. First, the good: My experience with Dr. Wasserman was fine. He was intelligent and patiently explained the potential conditions in my stomach. Unfortunately I had to have both an endoscopy and breath-test and neither provided a conclusive result; nevertheless he wrote a prescription. The REALLY DIFFICULT part of the visit is in dealing with the office billing administrator, Yoni Gantz. Upon visiting the office for my scope, she treated me with complete DISRESPECT, insisting I pay first and taking my Flex Spending Card before my consultation began. When it was declined, she had me sit in her office and call ADP to troubleshoot the issue. Mind you, this occurred before they had even sent me an invoice for services. Then, after being told they would send a prescription to my pharmacy, I later found out they did NOT actually submit this Rx until my payment would be submitted!! This office has no right to DENY my healthcare needs until their payments are reconciled. This is completely unprofessional and against the law. As a side note, my FlexA ccount was not declined; there was a billing issue that needed resolution and has since been taken care of. When I called the office to talk to Dr Wasserman about my Rx, Ms. Gantz would not relinquish the phone and insisted on talking about the payment. As I sit here and await a call from the Doctor, I will be filing a claim with the NYS Dept of Health, making them aware that this office prioritizes payments over patient healthcare. Please do not go here, or go at your own risk with this knowledge.
