I am writing this over two years late and was in fact not the patient. That unfortunate person was my husband, who shattered his ankle in a bike accident, fortunately right around the corner from Lenox Hill Urgent Care in the Village near home. Dr. Seidman's partner, Dr. Etan Sugarman (see review), was the attending ortho that night, was great in the moment, but is a knee guy, so handed Ralf off to Dr. Seidman for the rest. Dr. Seidman and his whole crew--special shoutout to Caroline and Maha--took fantastic care of Ralf (and me frankly). They were proactive with information and support and responsive to our many questions about care, prescriptions, PT, and everything else before, during and after surgery. Dr. Seidman has an excellent bedside manner, a sense of humor and set of hands! This injury and the aftermath were scary and nerve-wracking, and this hospitality-driven crack team made the difference for us. I hope that nothing ever changes in that practice (note that partner Dr. Sugarman took care of my knee surgery and my mom's broken foot, within a month or two of the ankle surgery--so we are all in with this practice). Thank you, Dr. Seidman, Caroline, Maha et al, way way way too late!

First let me say that Dr Seidman is an excellent surgeon. I had a serious ankle fracture - three bones were broken and I had a torn ligament. I can basically do everything I was doing pre-accident, and I have no pain or discomfort whatsoever. Second, the attention he and his team paid to every detail of the pre-operative process, as well as the recovery process, was outstanding. At almost every visit I was given one or more handouts detailing such info as medications, wound care, scar management, transitioning to weight bearing, etc..You never end up in the predicament of it being two weeks after your last visit and you don't really remember what the doctor said. The entire process was exceedingly well thought out and executed. I believe it was an important factor in my successful recovery. Finally, Dr. Seidman is a pleasure to have as a doctor. He explains things well, is happy to answer questions, is very responsive if you call with questions, and has a great bedside manner.

My experience with Dr. Seidman and his team could not have been better. The pre and post surgery care was just perfect. The result of my foot surgery was picture perfect. I refer to it as "my new toe"....I show it to everyone, LOL! I highly recommend Dr. Seidman. He is truly a great doctor and an expert surgeon.

Dr. Seidman and his entire team are wonderful! His team has been available every step of the way before and after my ankle surgery to ensure I have an optimal recovery. He has always been readily available if I have any questions or concerns related to my ankle. Before seeing Dr. Seidman, I had seen several doctors over the past few years for my ankle. During my initial evaluation with him, I knew he was the orthopedic surgeon that I wanted to continue my care as he outlined a detailed plan, answered all of my questions, and was very empathetic to my injury. He performed my ankle surgery almost 1.5 years ago now. I had chronic pain for many years related to repetitive ankle sprains from basketball and had difficulty walking. I am currently back to running (average about 5-6 miles of walking/running per day for the last 6 months) and feel very confident in my ankle. I would highly recommend Dr. Seidman to anyone including my family.

I have been to many doctors but Dr. Seidman besides being an excellent surgeon is by far the most caring physician I ever met. He did not rush into surgery. Surgery was the last resort and we tried everything else first. He is highly skilled in his field. I would never even consider going to a different doctor. He was so nice and went out of his way to take his time to explain everything to me. I never felt rushed. Most of all my foot feels 100% better.
