My longtime urologist retired in 2020 during the pandemic and I’ve been on a search for the right doctor since. Dr. Kim nailed it. He listened to my history, provided valuable feedback and even new information I was not aware of. That’s a win in my book. The offices are clean and the staff is very friendly and professional. The location in Manhattan is very busy. Plan accordingly.

12/17/20 Appointment I IMPLORE you NOT to see Dr. Chongmin Kim! As a new patient I was planning on discussing my ailments with Dr. Kim. However, as soon as I entered he was very dismissive and didn't allow me to really explain the issues that I was having. As a sensitive issue, Dr. Kim showed little empathy and seemed to be rushing the appointment to be finished. I had two issues related to each other and he asked me to choose only one issue to talk about. I wanted to explain how the issues were occurring and what precipitated the issues but it was evident in his demeanor that he wasn't interested in hearing about it or discussing it in a wholesome way. He seemed very quick to judge my age and issue and diagnose the problem without any discussion. Also, after telling him I wasn't interested in treating the issues with over the counter medications, he continued to bring them up as if to push them on me. He kept asking me if I wanted to take irrelevant tests for what seemed like a cash grab to bill the insurance. The test he wanted me to take could be ordered by my primary care doctor. This doctor just seemed to be irreverent, lack empathy and patience, and was pretty dismissive. I'm sure you can find another doctor that has better bedside manners and shows more care than this doctor. I hope that this review will help him recognize how to improve.
