This office did not deliver my child, so I can't comment on the OB aspect. I can comment on the GYN aspect. I felt like a number, coming to them. I don't know if it is because I'm older (read: menopausal) but I have never been permitted to see a doctor in this practice, only the PA. I have no issues with Linda the PA. She is nice, and kind. I had a couple of appointments with her where she conducted my yearly pap smear and check-up. However, when I asked for a consultation on hormone replacement therapy, I was handed a flyer for a topical cream, which was not a prescription, and when I looked it up on Amazon, had terrible reviews because it doesn't actually alleviate menopause symptoms. It might be that a PA can't consult on HRT...? In which case I should have been told that, and an opportunity to speak with a doctor arranged....But the length of time to wait for an appointment with a doctor was several months (and at least on the phone with the office, I was always pushed toward the PA and away from any of the doctors). I just changed practices, and now I'm much happier (and menopause symptoms are under control!)

I came to this practice around 2015-16 because it seemed to be popular, what I didn’t consider, which was foolish of me is that I may stand apart from the women that referred me as I am WOC. Despite having my usually debilitating cramps and heavy cycles glossed over, I stuck with this practice for my 2020 pandemic prenatal care and delivery. I will keep the delivering OB anonymous but will describe my many frustrations with labor & delivery to the best of my ability. Outside of not reading my chart for any updates on the going ons of my labor, ie, not realizing my epidural was turned off hours prior to my down contractions, the doctor also asked me to push before 1. those down contractions began and 2. Before the baby’s head was in the final station. Thankfully virtual courses during pandemic isolation taught me enough to thoughtfully decline and wait it out. I was forced to lay completely flat during delivery despite my multiple requests to angle the bed upward, even slightly. At some point, my husband angled the bed and I was able to finally push my baby out. (Gravity! Also, it’s not the 1800s) After delivery, my child’s umbilical cord was clamped and cut immediately - which was not our wish/birth plan. The room was filled with an extra 15 med students/residents, who knows- without my consent. My child was not placed on my chest for over an hour after delivery. They were also cleaned off (also, ignoring our birth plan) when they finally allowed me to hold them. There absolutely was no indication of complications or urgency communicated with me or my husband for these things to happen and it went against the very few “birth plan” desires I mentioned when asked about my preferences. Additionally, I ended up hemorrhaging, it was not addressed until I blacked out when I tried to pick my head up for a sip of water. I was told that I shouldn’t have "gotten up so fast". I ended up needing a transfusion. Since “healing” I realize I may have had extremely tight stitching/scarring. When I asked a practice partner about my postpartum pain, I was told that I should just increase intimacy 🧐. I was told I do not need pelvic floor PT. Sadly, I do believe that my preferences, intelligence, and body were both disrespected and neglected by my delivering OB as a result of how I present racially.

Horrible experience. If you are a new patient you have to wait months for an appointment. For me I had to wait over two months for an apt bc I am new. Then while at the doctors office the receptionist said there was an issue with my health insurance. So I was talking to my insurance to see what the issue was, which I guess was a bit too “loud” for the other patients. I guess they didn’t like how loud I was speaking on the phone but I was in a corner of the waiting room. It’s a big waiting room. Also the AC was not working that day so of course I was upset bc it was very hot that day. Due to the fact I was being “loud” I was banned. Called a different gyno office. I got an apt to see her in a week. Way better than this place.
