My experience with HSS and Dr. Buza in particular, was outstanding. The care I received was beyond my expectations and by far the best medical care I have ever received. Everyone at HSS is extremely professional. Dr. Buza is patient and caring, and extremely responsive. Unlike most other doctors, I have never had to wait long for my appointments with Dr. Buza.

My wife had fell and had a hip issue. We immediately knew we were going straight to the HSS to deal with it. We made an appointment with Dr. Stephanie Buza @ HSS who already came recommended. So GLAD we did. One of our best experiences from the beginning to the end of appointment. The place was immaculate, all of the staff were amazing! especially the nurse Rachelle. She was genuinely friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. Dr. Buza was also genuine, friendly, professional, extremely knowledgeable and confident. Excellent bedside manner and had my wife at ease from the minute she walked in. We traveled two hours to see Dr. Buza and we would absolutely do it again. We definitely recommend Dr Buza and she is an asset to HSS.

Went to Dr. Buza as my second opinion for my meniscus tear. Friends said “really? A surgeon ? She will push it. “ Absolutely not. She listened , prodded, looked, made me walk, examined my mri & x-ray disks and did NOT immediately recommend surgery but took the less invasive option of gel injection and special brace. I loved her. If and when it is time for meniscus surgery i will come back to her immediately without any reservation.

While I recommend that anyone interested in meeting Dr Buza thoroughly check the location of their appointment (I made that mistake and went to the wrong place associated with HSS), Dr Buza herself was so incredibly attentive, thorough, and empathic. While I’m still in the process of trying to recover from chronic pain, Dr Buza has given me new hope about my recovery possibilities in just one appointment. I’ve been dismissed by so many doctors before - she instead listened closely to my issues, thoroughly explained the imaging we did in a way i could understand, and expressed sympathy for my pain while providing a few options as to what I could do next to get to the bottom of my issues. I highly recommend her!
