Dr. Arnold Weg

I was a long time patient of Dr Vincent Rappa, another general physician in the area who has stopped practicing. This caused me a lot of anxiety because it is so hard to find a doctor where you aren’t just a number or an insurance claim payment. (I say that as a dental practice manager myself!) I asked around to see if anyone I knew had a recommendation for a GP and no one close to me had an alternative they recommended. So many people nowadays don’t even have a family physician and found themselves just going to an urgent care facility when they have a problem. Then, I turned to the Forest Hills Facebook group to see if anyone knew someone they trusted. There was an overwhelming positive response regarding Dr’s Arnold and Russell Weg. After doing some research, I made an appointment. I happened to show up on the date of the appointment in tears because I was upset at the fact that I hadn’t been feeling well and I was incredibly frustrated and scared. I met with Dr Russell Weg. He presented himself as such a caring, down to earth and genuinely concerned with your health kind of guy. It sounds like it should not be rare, but it is! He spent a lot of time with me getting to know me and going over all my concerns. When I left the office after having such a positive experience, I recommended him to all my family and friends. Now, my husband, my brother and my friend all come here. They have also all had great experiences. Can’t recommend enough! Thanks, Dr Weg! Keep up the great standard of care!

Dr Russel Weg is an amazing doctor. Very professional and takes the time to answer any of your questions or concerns. I highly recommend him.

I've been Dr. Weg's patient since the late 1970's. He's the best Doctor I've ever seen. Alway's takes the time to explain everything about whatever 's troubling me, and equally important ,what my options are. The staffers are extremely busy. However Dr. Weg is worth the wait...

Dr Arnold Weg is compassionate and patient and worth the wait. He cares for my elderly mother. His staff however do not represent him well. They are rude, hang up abruptly and while you are in mid sentence and consistently put calls on hold for long stretches. The assistance from the staff is a total disconnect from Dr Weg's approach and would be very concerning in an emergency situation. The doctor deserves more stars, but his staff detracts from the care experience. Dr Weg, please do something about your staff. Please read the reviews. The comments about them are consistently poor.

Combination of: >> 0-1 star for phone hold-time + >> 5 stars for Dr. Weg = 3 stars overall 0-1 Star = The amount of time you need to wait on hold to speak to a human being on the phone. This is ABSURD. I waited for 1-2 hours yesterday and never spoke to anyone and just tried again today and lost patience after 24 minutes on hold. This is EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING. If the simple solution here to just hire more staff to answer phones, please do that ASAP. It's been this way since I started seeing Dr. Weg about a year ago. Often, when I need to contact the office and speak to a human, it's a major hassle and it becomes a full-day adventure/nightmare. 5 Stars = Dr. Arnold Weg. He's a wonderful doctor. He is attentive, caring, and takes the time to explain things. It's hard to find a good doctor who is also attentive and has the time for his patients, so I'd love to stick with him.
