Suffering from heartburn and acid reflux for several months, I do not believe you will find a higher standard of care. Professional, caring, highly knowledgeable as to all the possibilities(and willing to share that knowledge) combine to create confidence and understanding as to the issues at hand. Obviously, I could say more, but let it suffice to say that I highly recommend Dr. Starpoli.

As always, Dr. Starpoli is extremely knowledgable about the issues at hand. The visit was on time,as expected, and the office staff is first rate. Very high level of medical care.

Going to him for decades. Well run operation with offices in NYC and Poughkeepsie. Always listens, a very different standard of care than one gets today from the average doctor. Stays current on research and new techniques. Awesome bedside manner!

A doctor who actually listens to what your concerns are without interrupting. I appreciate how he and his office have always gone the extra mile to help me. They always follow through where other doctors usually just wash their hands of you unless you harass them. Thanks to Dr Starpoli and his staff for everything over the years.

The first visit or two, Dr. Starpoli show's a nice, caring, kind and attentive bedside manner. He spent time with me, and at first I felt very comfortable. I was told to get an upper and lower GI done. My past experiences with having both procedures were always done together. For the first time I was told they couldn't be. Even asking if I can do them at once, I was told they couldn't be. Whatever, every office has their own procedure (just not realizing at the time it's at the cost of the patient) I went ahead and had each procedure and paid copays accordingly at each visit as I left. I had a follow up with Dr Starpoli, which is when things started to go south. Dr. Starpoli told me there was nothing out of the ordinary, (though I was in severe pain) .. yet I could benefit from a surgery that would be out of pocket, around $15,000. He then continued to prescribe me a medication that was a lower dosage than what I was previously taking. When explaining it doesn't help, he did nothing to try to find an alternative. He told me a medication he wanted to prescribe me, wasn't covered by my insurance. This left me with over the counter medication, that I had to double down on, and suffer with severe heart burn throughout the day. After leaving the visit, he called me back to tell me I should go to his website and buy his probiotics. Did my Dr. just shill his own product to me? I was appalled, that his probiotic sale was on the top of his mind, enough that he had to call me back. I decided to go for a second opinion. For the life of me, I couldn't get anyone in the office to send records to the new doctor. The new doctor wanted to do his own tests, and after doing so confirmed I did not need a procedure, and if I did, it was covered under insurance. He identified some medical issues which changed my medication regiment and since, I've felt great. The medication he put me on was the one Dr. Starpoli told me my insurance didn't cover. All it took was a pre-approval letter from a doctor who actually cared. I forgot to mention, this was all while they sent me additional copays for the procedures, telling me they weren't paid for. I sent the office copies of my statements showing the paid copays. They continued to tell me they were wrong and it's additional copays. Nothing I've ever seen before in my life. It's clear that Dr. Starpoli cares more about the revenue he brings in than the patients he's supposed to care for under his hypocritical oath.
