I want to express my deep gratitude to the best Endocrinologist Alexander Perkelvald and to his team! He always carefully listen to the problem, examine it, competently make a diagnosis and prescribe an effective treatment, without unnecessary extra medicines! I cannot explain how happy I am to find Dr. Alexander Perkelvald. Dr. Alexander discusses my issues in detail on every visit. He takes special interest in patient's wellbeing. He is not like other doctors who rush you out of their clinic. He is an expert of his field. I am seeing him for my diabetes and I am very happy so far. It gives ne a lot of peace of mind that I am in great hands.

I went to Perkelvald for over 5 years and always had an issue with the office, whether it was to book an appointment, send a prescription, a referral, or ask a question. Although Perklevald himself is usually thorough in his visits, he lacks bedside manner and does not treat holistically in favor of telling me gruffly to lose weight whenever I see him and pushes surgery (probably for referral kick backs because multiple doctors have advised me against it). Every time I’ve explained the difficulty due to my pcos and a full thyroid removal from cancer, he just says try harder and cut out carbs or get surgery angrily, as if all I want is to exercise, eat right, and still be 80 lbs overweight. The worst part is that the process to even get to him requires dealing with rudeness and incompetence. So many times I would send information and be asked to send it again with an attitude as if it were my fault it was forgotten. These people should not be in any vicinity of anyone who is sick as they have no compassion or empathy to speak of. I lost track of the amount of times I had to fight to get prescriptions for medications I need to survive while they nastily said “you need an appointment for that” even though the next available was in a month and I was running out. I hope them and their loved ones never have the misfortune of a serious illness and have to deal with this level of disrespect on top of it. I literally avoided necessary medical appointments because every time I would leave feeling worse than when I came. I’ve never had issues like this with any other doctors office and have never even written a review but I hope this can save someone from the experience I’ve had. I am now traveling farther for another office and the only regret I have is not leaving sooner for people who actually listen to you, don’t need to be told multiple times to do one thing that is literally their job, and see their patients as more than a number on a scale or insurance card.
