Dr. Alec Vaezi

Wow! Was my 1st reaction to meeting this doctor. I have been around long enough to know the real deal and this gentleman is the real deal. Very intelligent, Very personable, attentive, detail oriented, down to earth, calm, cool, it was an instant connection. I had many questions and concerns prior to my surgery he took so many of my calls himself. He was very straight forward and transparent about what I should expect from the very beginning, we went over those expectations in great detail, going back and forth until I felt like we both were on the same page as far as how it should all go down on the day of the surgery. He made me feel like I was participating in the decisions, I felt really connected. This doctor's energy is palatable, bright, warm and positive. There is no doubting this surgeon, he is at the top of his game! Post surgery, I could not believe the outcome! I couldn't find my own scar! He hid it so well, my recovery was shorter in duration than I expected, no side effects! His office staff is like the dream team, appointments, surgical scheduling, easy to call and speak with, they get to know you quickly, help you with every step of planning and additional questions and always can reach the doctor if you need him to call you! Great job! Great experience! I could go on and on but I think you get my point here! Good luck to you all you future patients!! I know it can be daunting having to find a "surgeon" and I hope this helps you make your decision.

I recently had to undergo a parotidectomy (removal of the parotid gland, behind and below the ear) when it was discovered that a benign tumor had grown in and around the parotid gland and nearby facial nerves on the left side of my face. I am a technical person, somewhat used to having to extract information from doctors who all-to-often over-worked and behind schedule. My experience with Dr. Vaezi was completely opposite of that. While clear that he was very busy (we sometimes had to wait at appointments), he never rushed us while conducting his exams and consultations. His approach to the discovery was calm and reassuring, primarily because he was able to explain the procedure and risks in a reasonable, un-alarming way, indicating a depth of experience with this exact situation. The surgery went very well with the bare minimal of side effects, which ultimately resolved over time. His follow up and after care was excellent. I highly recommend Dr. Vaezi and the NYU Langone network.

Dr Vaesi was wonderful! I was very impressed with his knowledge and preparedness at our first encounter! He explained everything clearly and was very encouraging yet honest! He answered all of our questions and was able to come up with a recommendation that sounded like it was tailor made for my husband given the situation we were in! His suggestion was adopted and I am happy to say that my husband has completed the therapy pretty much unscathed! He was aware of a very bad experience we had in terms of chemotherapy at another hospital and proposed this course of action! This doctor was kind snd compassionate and very sensitive to our needs! I highly recommend this man! I !consider myself lucky to have him in our world of care! His staff is unbelievable! They were very kind snd courteous and welcoming! Unheard of these days! Dr Alec Vaezi is Fantastic! Having cancer is scary and turns your world upsidedown. We met with Dr Vaezi and he is so kind and friendly, it put us at ease. He is a great surgeon and is there when you wake up. He explains everything and how it went. His aftercare and his staff are outstanding! I highly recommend him.

I had surgery done yesterday on my neck and I am very proud and happy to say Dr. Vaezi did an excellent surgery on my neck taking out my half thyroid out. My voice never changed after the surgery. He is the right person for this surgery. I am still recovering but very happy to come back home and see my family again.
