I had a great experience at this med spa, communication was excellent from the beginning. Taylor G, the manager, was very responsive, helpful, and made sure all my questions were answered. Marianna performed my lip dissolve treatment and was professional, knowledgeable, and made me feel completely comfortable throughout the process. Everything was explained clearly, and I felt well taken care of. I would definitely recommend this med spa.

I went to RefineKC and saw Marianna for the first time in Sept 2025, the first image was my starting point! I’d always wanted fuller lips and for my face to be a little more angular. During that visit, we did a full syringe in my lips and a full syringe in my chin. OBSESSED with the results- image 2!! Fast forward to last week, I went in for a touch up to my lips. We discussed what would look best for my desired results and ended up adding .5 syringe in my lips focusing mainly on my bottom lip. Now that most of the swelling (and veryyy minimal almost nonexistent bruising) has gone away, I am so happy!!! 3rd image for most recent visit:) You can see my chin filler has had time to settle and looks so much more natural, and my once tinnyyyy lips have so much more structure and fullness to them without looking crazy. I am so happy I chose RefineKC!!!

Marianna did my lip filler about a year ago and she was amazing. She was reassuring through it all, she explained everything perfectly, and really took her time to make sure they were exactly how I wanted them before we left. I would recommend her to any and everyone.

After I posted a review about my injury and concerns, it was brought to my attention that the business owner discussed the situation in a public Facebook group for aesthetic providers. I have access to screenshots of that public discussion if more context is helpful. Shortly afterward, a noticeable cluster of new 5-star reviews appeared within a short time frame. Anyone can sort the reviews by 'newest' to see the timing themselves. For a business that presents itself as a medical spa, I expected discretion and professionalism. That wasn’t my experience. I’m sharing this so others can make an informed decision. Five-star reviews show how things look when nothing goes wrong. The response to criticism shows what you’re actually paying for.

***Update (January 8, 2026): For transparency and to address the business owner's response: I disclosed my use of Accutane (Isotretinoin) prior to treatment, both verbally and in documentation I provided. The claim that this information was not supplied does not align with my records. This discrepancy is now part of an ongoing review with relevant regulatory authorities. The injury was not a "very small burn." It involved blistering and resulted in scaring that required prompt evaluation and ongoing treatment by a board-certified dermatologist, who fully documented the injury and its cause. Regarding informed consent: The consent form for the laser procedure was presented to me after the treatment and injury had already occurred, not beforehand as standard practice requires. I chose to seek follow-up care exclusively from my dermatologist rather than returning to the med spa—a decision I made based on the severity of the injury, safety concerns, and loss of confidence in the provider. Finally, the proposed "resolution agreement" required me to sign a non-disparagement clause in exchange for a refund. I was uncomfortable waiving my right to share my experience. I did not refuse care or a refund; I refused to sign an agreement that limited my rights. My original review reflects my honest experience, supported by medical documentation and records. I share this to help others make fully informed decisions about laser and aesthetic treatments at this "medical spa".*** I would strongly caution anyone considering treatment at this med spa. I received a laser procedure here while I was actively taking Accutane (Isotretinoin), which I disclosed prior to treatment. Despite this being a well-known contraindication for laser procedures, the treatment was performed anyway. I experienced immediate blistering and skin injury, which later developed into persistent hyperpigmentation and scaring. My dermatologist has since documented that the injury was consistent with laser damage, not an inflamed hair follicle as was later suggested by this med spa. What is especially concerning is that informed consent documentation was presented after the injury had already occurred, rather than beforehand. I was informed that a refund would only be considered if I agreed to sign a non-disparagement agreement. I was uncomfortable being asked to give up my right to speak about my own experience in order to receive compensation for a preventable injury. This situation has required ongoing dermatologic care and has had a lasting physical and emotional impact. Patient safety, proper screening, and true informed consent should be non-negotiable. Based on my experience, I would urge others to seek care elsewhere and to thoroughly research the risks before undergoing any laser or aesthetic treatment.
