I have been seeing Dr. Rafalin for the last 14 years he saw me through the pregnancy of my 2nd child and has been a main stay in my life since. He is clear in his communication, easy to deal with, his staff is amazing very warm, make sure appointments stay on time and address any issues with insurance immediately. I am uncomfortable during my annuals, I just don't like them, he makes them very easy on me which I appreciate. He has helped me through child birth, my annuals as well as cosmetic procedures. I highly recommend him!

I realize that my review of Dr. Rafalin will be nestled among my other reviews of home goods stores, and restaurants so I will keep it vague. Still, I'm compelled to give him, and his staff 5 stars. Dr. Rafalin is easy to talk to, thorough, and enthusiastic about his work. This is no joke one of the things that I stay in the city for.

Dr. Rafalin is a total rockstar in the delivery room. I had a great experience delivering my daughter with him. He is extremely knowledgeable and you always have a female nurse in the room during exams. His office staff are all nice and efficient, the nurses were very sweet. It's a smaller practice where they get to know their patients. His bedside manner is a little gruff which I liked but may not be everyone's preference.

This doctor wants your business but not the responsibility comes with it. I saw Dr. Rafalin when I first got pregnant. One afternoon, I saw a hint of blood in my urine and was not sure whether I should be concerned. I called Dr. Rafalin's office and the admin passed my reason of calling to him. The Dr. did not bother to talk to me, or even ask the amin to ask me for any details. He just told the admin to tell me to call 911. I called another doctor for a 2nd opinion. The other doctor asked me about details and told me that my situation was totally normal in early pregnancy. She also told me to go in her office next day for an exam. Turned out I was fine. Comparing the two doctor's reaction, I have to say Dr. Rafalin 1. didn't care about me as a patient, 2. Is lack of knowledge to form the right opinion, 3. caused a lot of anxiety in a pregnant woman, 4. almost caused a pregnant woman to suffer through an unnecessary trip to the ER; and 5. He probably follows his lawer's advice to steer himself clear off any liabilities. So if you think your preganancy would be 100% smooth, Dr. Rafalin could be a good doctor for you. But if anything may go wrong during the 9 months, think how would Dr. Rafalin act according to his lawyers.

Dr. Rafalin himself is wonderful, but the office administration staff is horrible. I have been out of my birth control pill since Friday, understanding that the office is obviously closed on the weekends, I called promptly at 9am when they opened Monday. The woman on the phone assured me she was calling the prescription in to my new pharmacy (I moved locations) as soon as we hung up. I waited 2 days and then called cvs and they said they had not received it. I then called the office again Wednesday and they assured me that they would call that in by EOD Wednesday. It is now Thursday, and I have called this morning and at 3 pm, both times the woman told me that Dr. Rafalin was away until today (not mentioned to me previously) but he would be sure to call it in today. I called them back at 4:30pm and the office is closed, and CVS has not received any prescription. I pressed 0 for emergency and got a woman, who then hung up on me when I explained the situation. Sure, I can survive an extra week without my birth control pill, even though it is very annoying and unsafe for me to be skipping this week, but I shudder to think what would happen if I was pregnant and needed another type of prescription that is even more important or needed a question answered by Dr. Rafalin. I will never go back to this office.
