Dr. Elena Jones

I saw Dr. Jones for the first time a month ago, to help me with my skin discoloration. I waited to write my review because I needed to see if the regimen I was put on would work. I am happy to say that it has worked and is still working. My skin looks and feels amazing. If you are in need Dr. Jones is who you need to see!!!

Finding a dermatologist with skin that looks like mine has been a challenge, so after some serious research I came across Dr. Elena Jones who I also found out sees the awesome Pharrell Williams. Now once I found that out I had to make an appointment. It took time but I finally saw her today and I must say I was thoroughly impressed. No shade lol…She was able to answer and address all of my concerns and helped me to understand what’s going on with my skin. I mean look at Pharrell face it’s like he doesn’t even age. So that’s what I want a flawless look(fingers crossed )and a dermatologist that will help me achieve just that.To be continued……😃😃😃

I left disappointed after my recent appointment. Dr. Jones always seem like she’s in a rush, barely made eye contact, and didn’t take time to discuss my concerns. It was merely brushed over and dismissed. Any questions seemed to be more of a bother than a welcome part of my treatment. It felt very transactional, with her simply asking, ‘What do you need or want prescribed?’ rather than providing guidance. She even forgot an injection for a cyst on my face and prescribed a shampoo I’d already told her didn’t work. I didn’t feel true care or attention to detail, and I’m considering finding a new dermatologist who engages thoughtfully with patients.” EDIT: I am not able to reply to Dr. Jones’ comment, however I should note that my last appointment was 11/8/24 and not in 2018. This confirms my initial feeling of being rushed and forgotten and a lack of personalized care.

I thought my visit was just okay, after I left I realized I didn't really leave her office with any additional knowledge about my skin. I found myself prompting a lot of questions to her vs. her examining my skin and giving her feedback and thoughts on what she was seeing. My appointment lasted maybe 10 minutes. I have relatively good skin but still have dark marks from old breakouts and texture so was expecting she'd say more about that. My esthetician was able to give me a more thorough breakdown of my skin. Dr. Jones recommended micro needling but didn't really explain how it worked or how many treatments she recommended for my skin, just handed me a pamphlet. She also didn't volunteer to perform the service so still unsure if that's an option at her office. Lastly, Dr. Jones didn't recommend or schedule a follow-up appointment even though she changed my retinol. Overall, Dr. Elena Jones is nice but I would rather see someone who seems more invested in my skin's journey.

I spent 3 months waiting for an appointment, 2.5 hours traveling to the office, & waited an hour (45 minutes after my scheduled appointment). Unfortunately, I have to work for a living, and had to leave before being seen to get to work. I booked an appointment, arrived early, completed their documentation, & provided my ID & insurance info. Patients who arrived after me were seen before me & at least 3 of us were scheduled for the same time. After waiting 3 months, this experience is unacceptable. Now after waiting 3 months, I still need care. Recommendation: Seek care elsewhere.
